Normally visit the Jervois every 3 months with overseas guest. Last visit was 30th July with an American colleague that has taken me to many US based steak houses. He was impressed.
Service was impeccable as usual. We shared a Calamari Schnitzel to start. He ordered the Eye Fillet on the bone and I had the lamb rack. First time in 10 visits that I haven' had a steak and so pleased with my choice. Perfect medium rare and slightly charred. My colleague pronounced his grass feed eye fillet fantastic. We washed this down with a bottle of Alpha Domus - Aviator. Decanted, nice touch, and great drinking and worthy of such a meal.
The sides of Onion Rings, Truffle Fries, and Brussels Sprouts with bacon where a great addition although we probably ordered to much.
A chocolate fondant to finish.
Happy visitor and very satisfied customers all round.
This place is consistent and very good compared to many places that are very highly rated in the USA.
I am looking forward to my next visit.
