Lovely modern and well appointed rooms but unfortunately there does need to be some attention to detail with regard to cleanliness. Window frames, the door leading to the court yard, the floor corners and edges....the little things do need attending to.
I was not impressed with the breakfast that I was charged $20 for...no bacon included in bacon & eggs? And was also not impressed with the manager opening the door again after he had delivered my breakfast, a total breach of privacy.
I travel to Gisborne on a fortnightly basis and can say I will not be staying here again.

The standard of the accommodation was high and the proprietor was very helpful. Furnishings were new, room clean, with modern en suite. It may have been our failure to properly read the information prior to booking but there seemed to be a confusion as to whether this is a hotel or motel because we had anticipated there being cooking facilities and we were disappointed there was no oven or microwave in our particular room. However, the owner helped us out immediately by heating our food for us. If you require cooking facilities then make sure you specify this when booking. Otherwise we would recommend this motel just a few minutes from the beach.

Our planned two nights in this motel turned to three as we waited for a storm to blow through. The first unit we were in was quite small, but inexpensive. The owners kindly moved us into one of the larger units because of our longer stay. Both units were clean and well-equipped, and access to the laundry was very convenient.

Motel was spotlessly clean and rooms comfortably furnished and equipped. Room was a little on small side and a bit cramped but bathroom was very spacious with huge shower area. Wi fi connection was excellent. The booking confirmation said toiletries provided but all that was provided was liquid soap dispensers at hand basin and in the shower. There was poor sound proofing between rooms - we could here people talking and the TV's on either side of us.

Location is great for beach as just one block back from the lovely beach. Too far out of city to walk in but only 5 minutes run in the car.

Room Tip: Room no 5 is on the small side and sound proofing poor.

Great location, across the road from the beach and the room was vary spacious, clean and new. Friendly service, was travelling without a car so the owner gave me a ride to the bus stop in the morning.

A great quiet location just across the road from Wainui Beach takes a lot of beating and when you add in a modern beautifully equipped kitchenette studio unit and charming staff then it cannot be beaten.

With only 12 units it is ideal for those looking for a comfortable stay in Gisborne.

Great value for money and well recommended.

This motel is a little way from Gisborne centre- too far to walk unfortunately.

On the plus side the room was spacious with an enormous bathroom and walk in shower.

The plus side for me was that it has a resident cat and as I was missing mine she was a bonus.
