Beautifully restored house, done by the host himself. Quiet, clean, comfortable and close to the centre. Excellent breakfast. Very friendly and helpful hosts. Memorable stay we would recommend to anybody.

Girvan is a nice B&B and not very expensive. The room we had was the Burgundy. It was a nice room for 120 NZD per night, however with a small bathroom. The hosts are very nice and give you a special welcome. Breakfast is simple but good.
The location is near the city centre.

My husband and I recently stayed here while we were in Gisborne for a wedding. We had such a lovely time. Tracey & Craig were very welcoming and made us feel right at home. The room was spacious and comfortable. My only recommendation would be a light above the mirror above the sink to make it easier to see. Breakfast was scrumptious and I am now a big fan of muesli, yoghurt & fruit. Yum! Location was ideal with a short walk to the main street.
Will definitely stay here again if we're in Gisborne.

Had a lovely time staying with Tracey & Craig at Girvan Bed and Breakfast. We stayed three nights in the 'blue room' which is perfectly equipped for families..(one queen and two singles)..Tracey and Craig are friendly hosts and we were even treated to some home baking. We took our three year old son and baby with us and there was loads of things for him to keep occupied with including games room ,toys, trampoline, swing set...Lovely pool and BBQ area out the back. The Girvan is close to downtown as well so easy walking distance to wherever you want to go. Very good value for money.

A beautiful old English style house set in a homely garden, provided us with an excellent base from which to explore the Gisborne area. Close enough to town for a short, brisk walk to the main street, farmers market and Port area and central enough to explore the wider Gisborne area(Beaches, vineyards and just cruising) Tracey and Graig were friendly, helpful hosts who provided attention when needed but gave us room to explore and come and go as we pleased or just relax around the house. Facilities, attention to detail and overall atmosphere, all excellent and I have no hesitation in recommending this property to fellow travellers.

The Girvan Bed and Breakfast was a great place to base out of for a week's stay. Tracey and Craig were friendly and knowledgeable about the area and the yard was a wonderful retreat with country gardens. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and the proximity to the downtown and port area was perfect. I really recommend this spot!

Room Tip: I believe some rooms have a private bath. Mine did not, but it was never an inconvenience

Craig and Tracey made us very welcome and were very helpful. We stayed for 3 nights and when we left to go to Taupo we felt that we were leaving old friends. We would recommend Girvan without hesitation. The accomodation is excellent value for money.
