Great comfortable unit, awesome location, so close to town & supermarket to self cater for meals etc. Units are well fitted out. Pool looking lovely but I wasn't brave enough, even tho it got to 24c in Gizzy in October! Prompt breakfast service & well catered. Great price too! Thanks again :)

Very cold unit with a heater that was totally inadequate for the size of the unit, very high ceilings and window with no curtain coverage. Had to sleep with electric blanket on all night and the blankets from the spare bed on me as well. As the units are very old, but they have been modernised in the furnishings, they obviously don't have adequate insulation in walls, ceilings etc. this place would be best to invest in heat pumps. Great shower pressure but the shower hose is faulty and sprays everywhere. It is a reasonable place but very dated style of units.

The 2 bedroom unit was at the back of the complex away from the main street traffic noise.
Walking distance from a supermarket it was fully kitted out to make your own meals. Beds were queen and a single in one room, two singles in another with a pull out sofa in the living area, perfect for our party of five. The whole unit was spotless ,separate toilet with a shower bath combo that had great water pressure and plentiful hot water for all.
We had easy access to all the shops that were perhaps a further 20 min stroll away. There was a pool plus BBQ facilities available but the weather was not kind enough to avail ourselves of this.
Only downside was the furniture i.e. seating needed to be updated as you required help to get out of the couch and the TV set top was playing up.

Stayed for 8 nights in a 2 bedroom unit at the very back of the complex. Lots of space, very quiet.Unit was well design and nicely moderninsed and refurbished with plenty of power points, good heating and a free paper each morning including Sunday. Would definitely stay again

Room Tip: The further back from the road the quieter it will be, but road noise is not a big deal in Gisborne...

We had a good sized room which was well away from the main road so it was quiet. All of the rooms seemed to be back from the road. It has a lovely pool and it is handy to town if you are a good walker. We found it to be about average-to-good for the price.

It is a nice spot so it would be good to see it refurbished.

Arrived around 5:30pm after a long day of driving from Tauranga and then visiting customers and potential customers around the district. Tired and in need of a smiling face. Got a nice, friendly low key reception from Stuart at the front desk. First thing I want when on the road and at the end of the day, is a bit of peace and quiet, and last thing I want when arriving is loads of banter.
Stuart recommended the Lone Star and a complimentary drink there.
Room is clean, well appointed, good size flat screen TV (very important), and quiet.

The first impression of this motel is of the beautiful entrance with lovely flower beds. This makes the place appear well cared for and indeed it is. Everywhere there is evidence of attention to detail. Our apartment was very spacious, with lots of good natural light and all the equipment one could possibly want. It was spotlessly clean, had plenty of good hot water and very comfortable furniture. Very quiet, this motor lodge is clearly very well managed by friendly, knowledgeable and helpful hosts.
A good location, although just a little too far for walking to the city centre. Definitely to be recommended!
