I've never been treated this bad by someone before. The kitchen has mice in it and the toilets are clogged and reek of piss.
The manager will never be found at the reception and when he finally arrives he will scold you for bothering him

Initially we just wanted to stay 2 nights but the place was so nice that we ended up staying 8 nights. You can sleep right on the beach front on a nice meadow with beautiful trees. The cooking facilities are tidy and have everything you need. The showers and toilets are clean:)!
The owner just makes you feel right at home and is always very helpful. On top you get free Wifi as well. If you are surfing it is a good pick as well since it is close to lots of good spots.

Large campground right at the beach (which is not that nice...especially when you've seen the beaches right out of Gisborne).Kitchen and toilets ok,showers need a sweep as they are outside (with a roof though)and full of fallen leaves. The SH35 is right next door and the truck lights kept me awake almost all night...apart from the noise.Ok for a stop over.

Wow oh Wow!
What an amazing site, we were cheerfully greeted by Chris the manager who described all the facilities to us. Everything you could need whilst camping & a view to die for. Love the ecofriendly aspect of the site. Thank you for making our very short stay with you a most memorable one. Sunrise on the new day was an absolute bonus.

Greetings from Steve & Ang from North Wales, UK

This maybe the best campsite in the world - great hosts and fantastic setting! You have to see it to believe it! The sunrise here is awesome we woke at 5:45am and waited and waited then we saw all the glory of the sunrise. Wifi, kitchen, showers, toilets - spot on!
Many thanks for our stay.

A fantastic place to stay, excellent facilities, very well maintained, thoroughly recommend staying here. The view out across the bay is superb. Very quiet, despite the nearby road. We stayed two nights as we were visiting Dive Tatapouri for the diving and reef ecology tour. Sadly the weather caused a cancellation of the diving, but the reef ecology tour is a must do, as you get to interact with the stingrays.
Budge the manager of the campsite is a fantastic guy, always helpful and very insightful of what to do.
A definite place to visit and stay, thoroughly recommended.
