What lets this place down is poor customer service and cleanliness of the venue.
To the owner (who I have been told, frequently sits in the cafe reading):
When a customer walks into your café he/she have decided whether they like your staff or café within 3.5 seconds. How you greet a customer is what is going to set the benchmark on the opinion of your business.
I was not greeted when I entered the premise, in fact the lady at the front counter was more interested in talking to the customer that walked in the door after me. I had not finished placing my order and she still continued to attempt a conversation with the other customer.
If your staff treat customers like they treat guests in their homes then they will provide a higher level of service. Customers will buy from people they like, trust and respect.
The food was really nice
The customer service was very poor
The general appearance and cleanliness of the venue was apalling
