“Get your act together!”

I'm not going to go into all the details, but staying here was a nightmare. Firstly they had no record of my booking, even though I had email confirmation. They sent me to 3 rooms before they found me a room, all of which had broken locks. The final room I was told "should" be vacant, but if someone was in there I should come back to reception!? What kind of pathetic operation is this? I then made the hotelier walk me to the room, as I didn't want to be the one disturbing a sleeping guest. This was at 9 pm after walking the length of the grounds, with luggage, several times. I was angry to say the least. I certainly won't be back.

Room Tip: Make sure your room has a working lock! But I wouldn't stay here...

Stay in a one bedroom unit. The room is spacious and well equipped with a good kitchen, spa bath, separate bedroom, and plenty of furniture. Staff is friendly, easy check in etc. Bed was firm but the pillows are slightly worn and not very supportive. Cleanliness is so so only the spa bath jets are showing some wear and tear with grime/stain in certain surfaces. Heat pump and fridge is in working condition but really need an upgrade/replacement soon. Overall the room is a bit tired because of the cleanliness and age of the fixtures - 3-stars like. Because of this the cost for this room is high considering I have stayed in a similar motel room at the same cost in Hamilton which has much better fixtures and cleanliness (see my other reviews).
The location is a big plus though. Very close to CBD with 2 supermarkets close by. The centre of town is only a 5 minute walk away which can be useful.
This motel offers packages such as golf deals and guys weekends which can be good if that suits your needs.
Overall a 3-star rating is suitable. Will return but likely only taking on a package or special.

Great motel, clean tidy and spacious and so close to the stadium and shopping precints and bars and restaurants. Friendly staff who go out of their way to make sure your stay is comfortable. Units are spacious and very clean. A heat pump insured the room was toasty warm and loved the spa bath. Love the packages available....golf packages, girls weekends etc. Would definitely stay here again and will be recommending.

Room Tip: The spa bath studio suites are great.

Excellent Motel - Neat & Tidy

We stayed here for two nights. We had room number 15 & 16. The rooms were exceptionally neat & tidy. Very Modern unlike most motels within New Zealand.

Both the rooms have a heat pump. The rooms were serviced & cleaned every day by the staff.

The motel is slightly pricey but one certainly gets a lot more value in return. As a fully equipped kitchen-ate, a modern Jacuzzi in room number 16.

Room Tip: Room number 16 has a Jacuzzi.....which looks brand new.

I was really impressed with this motel. It was clean and well-appointed with full amenities and located a 10 minute walk from Hamilton's eat street and with ample parking.

But for me the best thing was the owners had gone the extra mile to differentiate their motel. They gave us a free upgrade as they weren't very busy and offered us a free beer or softdrink on arrival. Over the Easter period while we were there they left a chocolate treat in the room - the small touches of this motel made it a great stay.

It’s taken a long time to write but stayed here in September 2011 for the Rugby World Cup.
We stayed here for 4 nights whilst watching a rugby match. The stadium is less than a 5 minute walk which was really handy as it rained that night.

The motel was just like a mini home and we all loved it and if visiting Hamilton again would go back.

It’s only a 10 minute walk to all the shops, supermarket is across the road and good location to go off exploring other areas of New Zealand.

We had a fully kitchen with most things you could ask for including dishwasher, microwave, fridge etc. A spacious lounge and dinning area with sofas, chairs, dinning table. A washing machine and dryer were available on site at a very low cost. We had 2 bedrooms that were very comfortable.
The motel was very comfortable, clean and tidy and well looked after.

It also had a very small play area and swimming pool for small children.

The staff were all very accommodating and would help you with anything you needed or wanted with no trouble at all. We had a welcome drink on arrival and a complementary newspaper each morning.

A very pleasant stay and would highly recommend this motel to anyone visiting Hamilton for pleasure or business.

Room Tip: Had a room on the ground which was ideal if have lots of luggage. All rooms have good double glazzi...
