“Really enjoyable stay”
Reviewed 13 December 2013

Motel easy to find, clean and comfortable The reception was most helpful .. More than we hoped for with free wifi, and handy to Hamilton East shops. near the river and when we asked for directions, the response was clear and concise. I recommend this motel and will stay again when next in Hamilton.

The room was perfect for us. nicely appointed and clean. a spa in the main bedroom - nice touch and very relaxing. no condensation made it very pleasant. My 4 year old had a blast. very helpful and polite service at the reception and extremely helpful and friendly staff. When back in Hamilton we will return - Thanks

Room Tip: ask for the spa room - a little ( I mean a little bit more money ) - WELL WORTH IT

I had doubts looking online but on arrival I was pleasantly surprised with the new interiors and extra friendly service.
These well-priced rooms are well suited to friends travelling, with two separate QS beds in their own room.
The first room has a small table for two and a bed, then a kitchenette and bathroom, and a separate bedroom. Our rooms were in the midst of extension to add a sitting room which will make the areas a bit more functional and roomy.
The bed was super comfortable and I slept like a baby!
Only very small down side was the lower water pressure and shower head not the best. Loved the parking outside the door and the friendly staff who allowed us to check in early

We really liked the location, it is an easy walk to the river walkway and along to the gardens or even into the city. We stayed 4 days in a unit at the end of many while visiting our daughter at university.
Wifi is limited in terms of capacity, we ran out of the 100MB allowance twice, but we run an IT business and use 100s of MB per day. The operator was very good about providing more :-)
Oh and very quiet

Room Tip: Choose a room on the north side to get some sun.

Stayed on a very cold winter night so really appreciated the electric blanket and room heater. Big bathroom and a kitchenette in a cupboard with tea and coffee. The welcome was warm and everything was clean and efficient. Great location in East Hamilton.

We only stayed one night at the end of our holiday to NZ but this place was probably the best we'd seen. Great kitchen facilities and an inexpensive coin operated laundry with powder supplied. Thanks to Simon and Lornae

We went to Hamilton for the "Balloons over Waikato" and stayed one night. We were kept waiting when we arrived as the person on duty was attending to another guest. She must have been on her own because no-one else responded to several "buzzes" from their foyer. After that the service was pleasant and welcoming.

The room was excellent and immaculate. I was especially impressed by the roomy bathroom/ shower area. The kitchen facilities were also very good.

My wife thought I was a bit nit picky about the TV, which offered the Freeview channels plus Sky Movies, Sport, TCM and News., but the fact is that not all the channels had been adjusted correctly for the wide screen format. The sky news channel was stretched and chopped which is a waste of a nice TV!

We were hoping to be able to walk to the Balloons events at the University and the Lake to avoid parking and traffic. The University venue (Night Glow) is about 30 min walk if you know the shortest route (through the park) but you can park a car about half way there if you go 1hr early. The Lake venue is much further (1hr walk?)and we took our car but we had no trouble parking 5 min walk from the balloons when we got there about 6.30am.

Room Tip: No.3 was excellent (apart from the sky news channel being stretched and chopped.) I wasn't awar...
