Stayed one night en route to Rotorua. A lovely place and great location. Just a stroll into the town centre. Rooms clean and very spacious. Overall a great place would definitely recommend.

We stayed two nights in a one bedroom apartment and the rooms were beautiful. We had the huge Spa in the bedroom and being on the first floor we got to enjoy drinks on the balcony overlooking the sea.

The only problem is there was literally nowhere to store you clothes or bags! Only a single cupboard with 5 hangers in it, although that cupboard was filled with the ironing board anyway so was useless. No drawers or anywhere to store your bags at all. Very strange.

Anyway apart from that it was a great place to stay with excellent service and in a good location. Would stay there again.

We had a top floor studio and it was comfortable and had a nice ocean view. Room was large with a big tub we didnt use and all was clean. Location was a bit far from town but walkable in 15 minutes (though in the summer it was a hot walk). Ample parking in the lot and a cute luggage lift to get the bags up to the 3rd floor. Its a solid hotel and we had a good experience. Note that the location on Marine Parade does get street noise even on the top floor. No problems recommending the hotel all.

Keep in mind Napier closes up with the exception of food by 5pm, so make sure you get an early start.

My wife and I stayed 2 nights and were very pleased with the Executive Studio. Good value at NZ$145/night despite being fully booked. Clean and centrally located. However we had to pay for WiFi and park on the street the second night.
But overall was great

A friend recommended we stay here, and I'm so glad she did. The Nautilus was wonderful! We managed to book off expedia and get a reasonable rate at late notice. We were given an executive room with views of the ocean. There was a large balcony overlooking the beach.

The room was tastefully decorated and extremely well equipped. As you walk in you have a mini kitchen on your right which has everything you need. The room is large and has shutters that can open up to views of the water. There is a large spa in the room also (as well as a shower in the bathroom).

Service was wonderful. Our hosts were very accommodating and friendly. There is a bistro here also but we didn't get to experience it. It is only a 10 minute walk into town and you have access to a luxurious gym down the road.

I would definitely stay here again.
