We stayed here for one night, but wish we could have stayed longer. From the outside, you wonder just what you're going to but once we were in the room, it was lovely! The receptionist wasn't very helpful and not at all welcoming. There is no passenger lift, but there is a baggage lift, although it creaks and groans so much I was afraid our bags would go through the floor!! Our room was on the first floor. When we entered, we were pleasantly surprised. There was a counter with tea, coffee, small kitchen etc., then it opens out into a lounge area with a lovely view of the sea. The bedroom has a spa bath in it, as well as a 'proper' en suite. Everything was clean and comfortable, and real milk in the fridge, instead of those annoying sachets that collapse when you try to open them. The receptionist on check out was lovely, not at all like her colleague the previous night.

Room Tip: All rooms are great, they look out towards the sea

Had a nice stay at the nautilus, nice spa bath in bedroom, with a lovely separate lounge, and blacony of lounge. ideal if you have people over to visit.
Perfect, nice wallk into town and not far from most attractions.
Lovely seafront units, views to ocean. We will stay there again.

Room Tip: make sure you get an uppe story for lovely views.

This is a lovely hotel. Our room overlooked the beachfront, which was beautiful. Both the room and bathroom were clean. Large shower and wonderful spa bath... great relaxing stop on our North Island Trip. Would definitely return.

We received a warm welcome by Suzanne and were allocated a spa room with ocean views through folding doors opening up to a furnished balcony.

Suzanne also advised us to try the adjacent fish & chips shop and eat dinner on the balcony and it was very good and was lowest price we paid for a meal in New Zealand and the it included tasty scallops.

The spa bath was a welcome treat at the end of long walk along the beach and into the Art Deco town of Napier.

Thanks Suzanne.

We spent two nights at The Napier during our NZ North Island trip. We were checked in by a lovely couple, and we were lucky enough to have Room 312 - top floor, corner apartment with a wrap around balcony and stunning views of the ocean and foreshore. Waking to to the sunrise here is amazing - set your alarm, step outside and snap some great pics! The Apartment was clean and well set out - love the massive spa bath and beautiful timber furniture. Nice to be able to cook dinner inside and eat al fresco on your own private balcony. Parking was much easier than we anticipated, really not that tight and we were in an AWD. There is also plenty of street parking right out the front. Great place, highly recommend if you are coming to lovely Napier.
