Stayed at Redcliffe Homestead for two nights during our recent trip to NZ. A great place to stay. A quiet and peaceful location, but only a short drive from the centre of Napier. Beautifully restored house set in a wonderful garden. Our room was quiet and very comfortable with its own terrace door onto the garden. Sue and Brian were delightful and helpful hosts. We had dinner on our first night. Excellent! Can't remember ever having better roast lamb! Hope to stay again when we next visit NZ.

A beautiful homestead, lovingly and tastefully restored to its 19th century heritage. Sue and Brian were perfect hosts - nothing was too much trouble. We stayed for dinner which turned out to be a great choice - lovely food in a welcoming environment and the perfect and relaxing end to a day of traveling in the area. We only stayed one night but wish we had more time available as we would definitely have stayed longer. Hope to be back one day!

Room Tip: We stayed in the Burgundy Room - beautifully furnished, great ensuite and private outdoor seating ar...

Staying at Redcliffe was a highlight of our two week NZ adventure. Hosts Sue and Brian were warm and welcoming and their home is an oasis of sunlight, good food, coziness and peace that is a rare respite during a busy trip. We felt that we had arrived in a sort of paradise- as we drove along the gravel driveway through fruit trees and gorgeous perennials, two sweet labs ready to greet us from the front porch. Our room had every need considered, from an inviting, comfy bed to heated towel racks in the bathroom...This homestead is a must-visit for those interested in the farm stay experience. Highly recommended!!

The period house has been lovingly restored to the highest standards and is a delight to experience and appreciate. The bed and bath rooms have been fitted out, furnished and equipped to the highest standards. The setting, surrounded by well tended gardens and the fields of a kiwi fruit farm, is magnificent. The verandas and the gardens are idyllic places to sit. Your hosts, Sue and Brian, will make you feel like life- long friends. The breakfast table will surpass your needs for the day: and don’t miss out on Sue’s evening meals. Its rural setting between Napier and Hastings, with a Maori hill-fort nearby, is an ideal location from which to visit art deco Napier and the surrounding wineries: Sue and Brian can advise you about an excellent guided winery tour organised by a near-neighbour and grower. This is a stay that you will remember for a long time.

We stayed here for 2 perfect nights a quiet retreat after Wellington. Sue and Brian are perfect hosts, welcoming and knowledgable. Nothing was too much trouble and Sue made such an effort to make homemade gluten free chocolate brownies and muffins. We had the delight of going to Mission Winery for a meal as it was my husbands birthday which just topped it all off. The homestead is set amongst a kiwi fruit farm which just delightful. With Napier just down the road what more could we ask for!

Room Tip: Burgundy has ensuite and is very spacious.

A lovely overnight visit to this beautifully restored homestead. From the lovely music wafting out across the lawn on our arrival, a welcome cup of tea with homemade chocolate cake, spotless room and outlook, comfy bed, beautiful linen and homemade breakfast, we cannot fault this lovely B & B. We also enjoyed hearing about the history of your 'rebuild' of the homestead, the attention to detail in your property and your obvious love for what you do and where you live.
We will definitely return, thank you K and M

Room Tip: the room with the little balcony was nice, great to open the doors first thing in the morning
