My bridesmaids and I stayed at The Old Church Villa the night before my wedding, and my husband and I stayed the night of our wedding. What a truly magical place the villa was, we were in awe of the stunningly lavish interior design, and the beautiful outside landscape, everything we needed was there. There was a function on the first night we stayed, which we were initially a bit worried about sleep wise, but we soon discovered we didn't even notice it was going on as it was so quiet, which was great. We are from the Napier region, but staying at the Villa gave us the illusion of being elsewhere, it was just perfect. Thank you.

We were blown away by the beauty and setting of the Villa. Every detail is paid to quality and comfort; and there is plenty of space to entertain if having guests.
Well worth dining next door at the old church restaurant but there is also a well stocked condiment pantry and gorgeous kitchen and scullery for chefs. We can't wait to go back! Quick note for ladies: due to the lighting of bathrooms - I recommend a makeup mirror :)

My family and I stayed at The Old Church Villa as part of our wedding Pure Indulgence package. It is the best place that we have ever stayed at! Everything about this villa was amazing and we loved how each room was decorated differently and the furnishings are simply wonderful. There was everything that you have ever wanted and more in the villa. We felt like we were given a massage every time used the showers, the baths are super cute, the beds - you sure wanted to stay in bed for as long as you could! The kitchen was so delightful - from the coffee machine and heated cup draw, to the beautiful cuttlery and glasses and plates. Of course then it was all surrounded by beautful gardens! Both serene and luxurious! Thanks Mel, Richard, and Jacinda, and staff at the Old Church for their wonderful and friendly service :O)

After 14 years in the Tourism business I can honestly say this is the most superb accommodation I have ever stayed in. So comfortable and with the very best of furnishings etc. EVERYTHING you need is there, staff are very friendly and helpful. We barely did any sightseeing or shopping as we didn't want to leave the house! Thoroughly recommend this piece of paradise.

Room Tip: All 5 of us could lie in the enormous bed in one of the rooms.

Just come back from a fantastic weekend with great friends at the most outstanding 4 bedroom villa you can imagine. The Old Church Villa is first class in every respect. Not only is the location in a vine yard and beside a brilliant character restaurant perfect, but the decor inside the Villa takes every ones breath away. We had a big problem in deciding who got what bedroom as they were all exceptional. The Old Church Villa is a must.

Everyone is an individual and our expectations and tastes can differ. I do comment for myself and I can but only recommend this accommodation as being superlative. It hit all my buttons from the luxurious bedrooms to the lounge and kitchen facilities. For two nights it was an oasis of calm with facilities which revealed not only an attention to details but to maintenance, from the sparkling individual light fittings, polished woodwork, to the sumptuous furnishings.
If you want a period in an oasis of tranquility, surrounded by well maintained grounds, I do recommend this villa. Then of course there is the bonus, right next door is the restored historic church restaurant providing you with gastronomic delights!

We just spent last weekend at The Old Church Villa. It was my husbands & my second stay and was everything we remembered from 2 years ago. The 3 other couples hadn't been before and were blown away by the grandeur of it all. Like everyone else the bedroom pick was the hardest part. We lit the fire on Friday night & enjoyed a relaxed evening with the cheese board provided , drinks & a BBQ. Saturday night we had a lovely meal in The Loft of The Old Church. Sunday came all too soon. Thanks to Mel and the staff for a fantastic, relaxing , luxury weekend. We will definitely be back for another weekend.
