We enjoyed our trip up the hill especially watching the activity in the port below. Tug boats busy about their business of manoeuvring ships in and out of the port. Fascinating.

The drive to this lookout is narrow and if you are nervous about passing other vehicles on a narrow road - don't take it. Very windy at the top but a vg overview of the harbour.

This viewpoint has fantastic views over the two waterfronts of Napier, one can drive up to it but the walk, though steep, is an enjoyable stretch of the legs (and lungs).

This is a gorgeous one-of-a-kind view. Worth a stop for sure. We came on a tour, but I think it might be a little harder to find oneself. It’s at the top of some serious one lane residential streets.

Despite being a twisty, steep road, it was worth the effort to get there. It was a clear sunny day, the views were astounding. Watching the busy port at work was fascinating too. There is seating in a nice little pergola with flower beds that look well maintained.
