For a small hotel, we couldn't believe the quality and the view out of our first floor room, overlooking the beach wrasse condo none. The staff couldn't do enough for us and it was appreciated. The restaurant next door was excellent but you couldn't be in a rush. ( but who on holiday is???)

Dear Dennis

Thank you for posting your comments on Trip Advisor and pleased that you enjoyed your stay in Ahuriri. Apologies that the service was slightly slow in the café even though you were on holiday!

Hopefully we may see you back in Hawkes Bay in the future.

I stayed here with my partner and we loved it. It's the perfect location for holiday. The rooms are amazing. The luxurious king bed was huge with heaps of pillows which I just love was it was perfect. The staff are really lovely and helpful. The hotel is very clean and even though we had a studio there was plenty of room and we didn't feel like we were in a shoebox. It has a cafe right on your doorstep with a family area across the road with a play area and lots of room for picnics. You only have to cross the road to have a dip in the sea. Oh and you must try Bonnie's Cupcakes which is also across the road in the little shopping area. I
We will be staying here again for sure.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a balcony facing the sea as u can watch the boats come and go and the the goings...

The room was really well set out and spacious. The minibar was affordable and the bed was great. We enjoyed a wine on the patio overlooking the sea. The location was really good as we walked out to a restaurant in Ahuriri and we were close to the beach for a morning stroll. We will definitely be back!

Room Tip: We enjoyed our room as it was on a corner and up on level 2. Good views and not too noisy

Fabulous and timely communication when we booked. The staff were lovely. We stayed in a standard 2 bedroom suite on the first floor which was lovely and had a fabulous shower. Close to lots of shops and restaurants, not noisy. It would have been nicer if the a/c went through to the bedroom but it was situated in the sitting room. We ate at the Milk and Honey restaurant on our first night but found the service very slow, waited an hour to eat after ordering and the portions were small and it was expensive.

Dear Guest

Thank you for taking the time to post your comments on Trip Advisor.

I do apologise for the slow service you experienced at Milk & Honey and I will pass these comments on to the Restaurant owner. Milk and Honey is owned separately to The Crown however we do affiliate Milk & Honey as the hotels restaurant, so it is important to receive feedback.

We were given a big room, which had a nice bed and a kitchenette, which even had a dishwasher. We ate at the restaurant on the premises (Milk and Honey) for dinner and breakfast. Was excellent for both. Hotel located across the main road from the ocean. Good place if you don’t mind a 10-minute drive to the center of Napier. A bit pricey. Charged for $7.5/hr for wifi.

Unplanned trip to Napier, a more pricey option but well worth it. Across the road from swimming beach at Ahuriri. Nice premium studio apartment, spa bath. Milk and Honey restaurant below now a favourite
