“John and Viv's trip to New Zealand”
Reviewed 24 November 2013

We started the afternoon by visiting the vineyard and having a tour and wine tasting. The restaurant looked excellent so we booked a table for the evening. We were not disappointed. Food was excellent and the quality of the wine that we chose was of the highest quality. The staff were all very friendly and are only sad that this restaurant is such a long way from home.

“Amazing location”
Reviewed 20 November 2013

The building itself is a real eyecatcher. We went there for winetasting but also we wanted to have lunch. A combination of the both is unfortunately not possible so we decided to go to the restaurant and enjoy a cheese platter with a glass of wine. The platter came nicely presented with grapes and strawberries and some nuts and plums. The wine was excellent and both at reasonable prices embraced by gorgeous weather seated in the garden.
Definitely a must for people visiting Napier.

“Average Tasting Experience - Very Good Dinner!”
Reviewed 18 November 2013

We came back to this place for dinner after an average tasting experience. we had the fresh fish, vegetarian polenta and the chicken and all three meals were very tasty and well presented. Nice wine pairings with the meals if you want them.

Visited Napier and surrounding area with friends, one who lives in New Zealand North Island.
We were told we had to have a meal here, it was fab. Lovely food, service, setting.
Friendly staff who were happy to give advice when approached.
A must if you are near this area.

“Fabulous ending to our weekend”
Reviewed 11 November 2013

We left Mission Estate until the last and were not disappointed, we enjoyed a lovely bottle of Jewelstone Chardonnay 2011 over a delicious lunch, and finished off with a very special chocolate desert that you need to share. The waiting staff were all fantastic and the wine tasting staff behind the bar were friendly and very helpful. Well done, a busy sunny lovely afternoon but we enjoyed every minute of it and a great way to finish off our visit.
