We had a quick evening meal here - we had no booking but the place was only half full. It seemed quite cosy when we arrived as they had a gas heater going near the entrance. It was cooler where we were seated, and a bit of warmth would have been nice. I hindsight we should have asked for a table closer to the heater.
Service was OK - nothing special but no complaints. The food was OK too - not fancy but enjoyable and good sized servings.
The general nautical/seaside décor and atmosphere was good. Marred only by a large and somewhat scruffy dog that wandered in and poked around the tables. This seemed normal as the staff didn't seem to mind. But in my view dogs and restaurants don't mix.
Overall an average sort of experience.
