“Fish n' Chips”
Reviewed 19 December 2013

Great fish and chips and cold beers. Live music on the patio some nights. Service was a little slow but it appears it is that way throughout the country. Remember, they don't work for tips in New Zealand.

“Over sauced and hyped”
Reviewed 15 December 2013 via mobile

There is nothing bad about this place. But when you specifically visit because it's number one in town you at least expect something special. But everything was just OK. Backpacker environment, although that's not all bad, friendly service, reasonable price (for a resort town but still high for the results) and food that was a bit old fashioned in style and presentation but perfectly tasty. Just lots and lots of sauce on my fish possibly to disguise what was really averagely cooked (small) pieces of fish anyway. Not bad. Not great. Not really any towns number one.

“Made to order”
Reviewed 2 December 2013 via mobile

What restaurant can you go to where you can say to the owner "I feel like having .. " and interact with owner about the best freshest ingredients and pride something perfect? Well, it is at Tito's. Fabulous pests prawn pasta with asparagus and a ripper cider. Perfection ! They deserve credit.

The reason I did this on the second visit was a prompt from the owner. He delivered!

“Pretty good for casual eating”
Reviewed 25 November 2013

Food portions were a decent size and tasted pretty good, laid back casual eating. Think the ratings are so high because it is located between two backpacker lodges and the drinks are cheap

“Value for Money”
Reviewed 11 November 2013

A bistro bar in a small back arcade.........well worth the effort to seek out when walking in Paihia. Simple pub meals at an affordable price. seating indoors or outside under a veranda.
