We jumped at a 'promo' offer of $80 per night , assuming it was a good deal, only to pay less( $75) on the hotels' own website for an extra night. The room looks large in the photo but is small and dark. There is only the sliding door onto the walkway facing east for natural light, and there is neither views nor sun from there. Dissapointing when the town is littered with motels overloking the sea.
The TV is analogue and only plays channels1,2+3. There is no Wi Fi.
Apart from tea and coffee making there are no kitchen amenities.
The walls are thin. The neighbours toileting , music and TV , jug boiling are all audible.

Room Tip: Small and dark , an overnighter at best.

The room was clean with big comfortable beds and nice bathroom. They gave you a free magazine and the guy at reception was helpful. It wasn't a too far walk from the centre of Paihia. There wasn't a lift and it was quite hard lugging our suitcases down the stairs. Also, we had a drip in our room in the night and had to change to the room next door in the middle of the night which wasn't the best situation.

Bought a accommodation package for $70 from Grabone, which includes a night plus a "$30 food voucher"...
Room is clean and quiet. But the "$30 food voucher" is actually no more than a lie. The breakfast menu in room shown "Continental breakfast $9" while "full cooked breakfast $18". But when we were in the restuarant and mentioned about the "$30 food voucher", we were told that a "Continental Breakfast" cost $17 instead of $9, while a "full cooked breakfast cost $25!
In the end, we used the $30 voucher and paid extra $4 for our "Continental Breakfast"!--- i.e.: cereal, milk, and wee bix, which, acutually, worth no more than $4!!!

Stayed at this hotel for two nights whilst visiting the Bay of Islands. The hotel appeared on the internet to be more of a resort but was at the standard of a 70's or 80's motor lodge.

The rooms appeared 30 years old and all faced on to the carpark with shared open balconies/walk way. For privacy in the room you had to close the curtains at all times because of the car lights and people walking past the room. This made the room dark at all times and the only other window was a small one in the bathroom.

The bathroom was dated but very clean with the room serviced daily.

We included a hot buffet breakfast in the room and this was not worth it. The hot food was poor and had been sitting idle for somtime on both days. The staff member on duty did not appear to care about the service. Would not recommend including the breakfast.

We payed $99 each night including breakfast but there appeared to be better hotels for the same price in the area.
