Everything about blossom cottage was absolutely spot on - beginning with the hosts and their wonderful children who were very friendly and went out of their comfort zone to accomodate all our needs. The cottage had everything we needed right down to the nitty gritty - from books and toys for the children to a secluded hot tub looking out into endless pasture land. The comfort, solitude and the quiet with a great landscape to boot was more than what we expected and that makes Blossom cottage stay our best memory from New Zealand.

Heavenly stillness and beautiful surroundings, bathing in the hot tub under a starlit sky and an immaculate, cosy cottage with a superb equipped kitchen has been the reason for us to unwind, relax and restore. We thank our hosts for their wonderful hospitality, the delicious cookies and breakfast treats and the little welcome notes. We could not have asked for a better place to escape the business of the everyday life: if you want a glimpse of paradise, this is the place to go!

Once again we had a great stay. Our daughter loved feeding the baby lambs their bottles. We also loved feeding the rabbits and donkeys grass. One night sitting in the hot tub we counted five shooting stars, so quiet and peaceful. Our hosts were awesome, it's the whole family that makes this place a lovely homely place to stay. The extras in the cupboard/fridge were great, loved Marianne's homemade musesli! A lovely peaceful retreat. Do we recommend it? That's a big YES!

After a long days drive we arrived at Blossom Cottage. We were able to feed the lambs and talk to the chooks and donkeys. The kids loved it. We were so comfortable in the Cottage. We had a lovely relaxing time. It was perfect. One of the best accommodation we had in New Zealand.

Hi Sharon and Fin,
We are thrilled that Blossom Cottage was one of your favourite places to stay and thank you for your kind review. We enjoyed sharing our piece of paradise with you and watching Rebecca and Lauren have fun with the animals and bottle-feeding the lambs, Luke and Dora.
Regards, Rene and Marianne

We arrived at Blossom Cottage on a dark, cold, wet night with our granddaughter, Rose, but this didn't deter our host René from braving the elements to meet and greet us. After we were settled in we devoured Marianne's delicious home cooking then relaxed in the hot tub under a misty sky. Rose loved her 'girlie' room, with books on hand to hold her interest. She also loved feeding the black lambs, donkeys and bunnies. If your children love farm animals this is an ideal place to stay.
Great peaceful spot for adults also with Marianne's creative flair and attention to detail.

Amazing, relaxing family bolt hole away from the madding crowd of Rotorua made for the perfect base to explore from. We were made to feel like family guests rather than customers and for a 2 year old, the delights of letting out the chickens and checking for eggs was a bonus.

The accommodation is clean, finished to a high standard and well stocked for families with children (travel chest of goodies to explore inside and a great range of outdoor items too). Once children are asleep, the hot tub under the stars with a cold beer is a great way to round off the day.

I would recommend Blossom Cottage to both families or romantic couples. Wish we could have stayed longer!

We had such a lovely time staying at Blossom Cottage. I'm so glad we decided upon Blossom Cottage as an accomodation option for our family stay in Rotorua as opposed to a Hotel in town.

The entertainment on hand for our little boy was fabulous - outdoors; the chickens, donkeys, rabbits and the new little lambies (one which has now been named after my son Luke - he's thrilled!!), hot tub, sandpit and indoors; suitcases of dress-up clothes, cars and dinosaurs. My son couldn't have asked for more!!

At the end of a busy day site setting in Rotorua it was great to know we were retiring to such a cosy little home away from home.

I don't think we could have asked for more. Thank you Marianne and Rene for providing such an awesome place to visit. We'll be back for sure!
