It is an ultimate B&B experience, and it is fantastic! We really cannot ask for more. The home is built with love which takes everyone need into consideration - do check out the movie room, kids playing room and the veranda which is perfect for a sunny day chill out. Service is extremely professional and it comes with wonderful personal touch! Tressa and Mick are simply amazing people. They are your most trustworthy advisors for trip planning in the area and best accompany for a fire side chat ( about everything)! It is a home we wish to return to.

Stayed with my girlfriend while we were travelling in Rotorua and the area. Mick and Teresa were the perfect hosts; they knew the area very well and had excellent recommendations with all the tours/trips we wanted to do whilst in the area. They also provided us with excellent company and conversation; it felt more like staying with family friends.

Everything that has been said about the breakfast is not enough; the breakfast was homemade (and homegrown), plentiful and delicious. After eating, all you wanted to do is roll back to the very comfortable room and nap rather than explore.

As our first B&B experience, it has set a very high standard that I dont think will be easily met. We would 100% come back if we travel through Rotorua again.

Absolutely best B&B you could wish for. Breakfast is overwhelming, sure you will skip your lunch after this one. Location convenient to town, but quiet and great property. We had the garden house. Good for our family (4). Free wifi, feeding the animals (sheep, donkey, chicken etc.), treasure hunt for the kids, complimentary drinks, movie theatre, and above all: friendliness of the hosts/owners. Really feel at home and now already - with two more weeks to go - highlight of our journey.

My three children (Aged 10, 6, 5) had a wonderful time here. The kids loved the play area, roaming around the section and of course, the fabulous hosts. We watched a movie on the 'big screen', where I was presented with one of Mick's famous tipples (which was perfect). The following morning, we were presented with a brilliant breakfast. But wait, there was more to come.....Teresa took the kids around the farm to feed the hens, ducks, sheep and donkeys. Then just when it couldn't get much better, she had organised a scavenger hunt for them. Prior to leaving, some suitable activities for us were suggested. We did both and thoroughly enjoyed them, thank you. Our only regret was that we didn't stay longer. Luckily there is always next time :)

Like what many had written, this place is fabulous. Our family stayed for 3 nights. There're lots to keep the kids entertained. Play room, movie room and the animals... To add, Teresa is great with the kids. The house is so cosy with many places to seat around and laze. There are so many good things to say and I think most important of all is that Mick and Teresa were so genuine in their hospitality that puts us at ease throughout the stay.

Thank you for the great memories.

My friend and I were passing through Rotorua without accommodations for the night when we stopped by the information center around 5:45PM on a Thursday evening. It was about to close but the person behind the counter was pushing us for hotels and resorts in the area, but we really wanted a B&B and found Mokoia. We rang them up and they were able to accomodate us 15 minutes later (since it's about 15 minutes from downtown Rotorua).

What a lovely place. Mike and Teresa are super friendly and wonderful people who are running their B&B outside Rotorua in a little slice of heaven they've built over the last few years. The house is beautiful, they've put a lot of effort into making it feel very homey. We checked in, had a tour of the facilities which include a wonderful fireplace and a movie theater, and they offered us a complimentary glass of wine. Mike has also prepared his own spirits in NZ and was happy to offer a taste as well. We sat by the fireplace listening to jazz music drinking our wine in total bliss. Later we spent some time talking with Mike and Teresa over their history and how they arrived here and were up until probably 10 just chatting the night away. It was fantastic. Mike also let me log into his wifi which was super fast and unmetered (rare in NZ!).

The bed was super comfortable and it was the best sleep I've had in NZ.

In the morning they had prepared us a FEAST of a breakfast, including fresh a fresh fruit salad from their garden and eggs benedict also prepared with eggs from their chickens. I work in Wellington and I can honestly say that this was probably one of the best meals I've ever had in NZ, and definitely the best breakfast.

Afterward we fed the chickens, ducks, donkeys, and sheep.

Mike and Teresa's unparalleled hospitality should be a model for all other B&B owners to follow.

Just back from the week-end staying there. I had 2 children with me aged 9 and 7,
Clean place is my thing when it comes to staying in places, and that was just super clean and very very impressed with small details they give to there guests. it was just a relax feeling the moment i stepped into our room : the Garden Room.

Teresa welcomed us at the driveway then took us inside to meet Mick , it was a warm homey welcome.

Very relaxing spot with all the lovely land around the property especially the pond area where you can just set and do nothing and listen to the birds signing.

Teresa was so wonderful and made sure the kids are well look after from treasure hunt to feeding animals to even dig wholes in the grounds. she really is wonderful with the kids, it was indeed much appreciated.

we gladly did not have time to even use the Dance room where you can watch movies or even DANCE .. the kids just loved to outdoor feel of this wonderful spot.

The breakfast was Super, with mostly homemade food that was so yummy!! and lets not fogett to mention Mick homemade liquor you can enjoy in the evening :-)

Fpor dinner you have very close by option and we went to the pizza place at the same town which Teresa recomended .. was perfect.

Thank you so much Teresa and Mick, you really made our week-end quite special.

Room Tip: The garden Room was a great spot for us at it was out side the house .. LOVEd it
