When we arrived it had been raining........inside..............there were 5 buckets outside our dirty dingy room 223. Around 1am we were woken by the sound of heavy rain on the tin roof we could not sleep..............at 3am the fire alarm went off and loudspeakers requested we evacuate the hotel. We all went and stood outside in our sleepwear and at no stage did a staff member attempt to make an announcement of what was happening to the assembled guests. We spent the rest of the night trying to get our three year old to go back to sleep.
The breakfast was bad, the service was bad, all round bad really. Also when you book a room for three people you would think you would get three towels right? Wrong....
No compensation was offered, although our friends got a nights rate removed as they had two leaks in their room and the carpet was soaked and one of the beds not usable due to water.............................this is not what I expect from the M and C Chain nor is it what I would like tourists to experience in NZ.
