This is a beautifully appointed Hotel and I walked in on a Sunday afternoon and chose a room with a lake view. I was a little dismayed as I paid extra for the view but the room was on the first floor over the reception area and a bit obstructed by the roof. However the room itself was extremely spacious and well appointed. The bed was comfortable and the pillow selection good. I chose to eat in the restaurant on the Sunday evening which was a mistake. The buffet (around $50) was not good. The selection of hot food was limited. The roast of the day was Pork and the Chef cut me three slices of what turned out to be nothing more than fat. The dessert selection was poor being variations of mainly the same type of cheesecake/slice etc.
To round the evening off I decided to have a dip in the thermal pool and chose a private pool. I was taken aback to be charged $20 for this privilege. Would I return? Not in a hurry for sure.

Room Tip: If you want the view, ask for a room on a higher floor.

The room was decent sized (not huge) but plenty of room for two people. We paid for an upgraded room with a view of lake. The hotel put us on the top floor and it was worth it. Room 528 is almost next to the named suites so very quite. There is plenty of free parking and the lake is right in front of the hotel with a great walkway / park. Also behind the hotel is restaurant row. Nothing but restaurants and no street traffic. We were there on a Saturday night and it was lively. It had a great feel.

Room Tip: Pay for the upgraded lake view. It is not much money and worth it. 5th floor is the top floor. A...
