“Surprising find”
Reviewed 10 December 2013

What a great museum! The building is stunning, but we were expecting another small town museum. Great surprise! It is incredibly informative and very well laid out. It s surprising large with many different exhibits. The shows were fantastic and definitely with seeing. We learned a ton here! Give it a good three or four hours to see everything. Very well done.

“Interesting”

Interesting about the story and treatment there, but kind of hooky, especially the simulation theature. Nice collection of artwork on the local history. Probably won't go back.

“A gem”
Reviewed 6 December 2013

What a wonderful building well used for a variety of displays. The insight into the C19th earthquake was fascinating especially the theatre show of a simulated earthquake. Also insight into the Spa use in the past was very interesting.

“Interesting Visit”
Reviewed 3 December 2013

On travelling to Rotorua I was recommended to visit by people at the I-site. found it interesting to visit, however given the shortage of time that I had I rushed my visit. I would recommend that anyone intending to visit gives themselves plenty of time to do so.

“Pretty town”
Reviewed 30 November 2013

Lovely pleasant gardens surround this magnificent building. Take a stroll and take in the beauty of this great monument.

Unfortunately didn't have the time to get inside and enjoy what was on display. Maybe next time.
