“Historic site, most photographed building in NZ...”
Reviewed 16 June 2014

Located in Government Gardens near the lake, this building has an interesting pedigree...built as a spa but later used as a place to help rehab war veterans. Now a museum. Great informational movie, coffeeshop and...best of all if you are willing and able to climb the approximately 100 steps to get up there...a 360 view of the surrounding countryside and lake. WOW! Don't miss it.

“More or less worth it”
Reviewed 16 June 2014

The museum itself is not too bad but a price of 20$ is way too much. You can get better museums for free. Still worth it to go there even if you don't go inside. The yard and the house itself is really beautiful.

“A very well preserved Bath House”
Reviewed 10 June 2014

We were not expecting much from this day tour on our cruise but were quite amazed by the Bath House. The visit was very interesting starting with the culture of the region, continuing with the treatment rooms, going down to the basement furnaces and finishing with the amazing earthquake experience in the small movie theater. Not to be missed

“Well worth the visit for the views”
Reviewed 3 June 2014

I've visited Rotorua many times in the past but visited the museum for the first time on my most recent visit. It's a must-do if you to understand more of the town's history and had enough to keep two teens engaged for a couple of hours. The highlight was the viewing platform from the roof offering splendid views over Rotorua and the lake. The interactive Tarawera eruption cinema experience was also very informative despite feeling a little dated.

“A Perfect Place to Start Your Visit to Rotorua.”
Reviewed 30 May 2014

It's located in town - very easy to find. The building itself is majestic, you can't miss it. There is an entrance fee with complimentary drink - a plus point. Be sure to go for the Rotorua Story mini cinema screening - a must-do!

We spent at least 3 hours there and we managed to visit almost all sections of the museums except one, as we were too scared :D One don't you must know is that there are some parts of the museum at which photography isn't allowed.

Whether you're a culture or history enthusiast, a photography lover - this is the perfect place to start your visit to Rotorua. I'm giving it a 5/5 because nothing about it is not to be loved!
