Tena koe Neopolitans

It is great to hear that you enjoyed you visit to the village, that your Guide was informative and that you had the opportunity to experience the Kai (food) cooked underground by the geothermal steam and the bubbling waters.

We are also glad to hear you got the opportunity to experience our Cultural Performers, view the geysers and look other our other natural wonders
.
Kapai, thank-you again for your kind words and support.

Travel safely.

“Well worth a visit”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 July 2014

We visited ‘The Living Maori Village’ Whakawerawera as part of a shore excursion. It was very impressive how the guide engaged with us all. We saw everything from the Maori culture to the thermal springs and geysers, topped of with an amazing Maori show. I even had a chance to get up on stage with the performers. Great day.

“Very interesting”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 July 2014

We has a superb guide here - I think his name was Michael. He was very helpful and genuine. Make sure you check out the shop run by Ralph who carves all the pendants that he sells. He will tell you about the designs, their meaning and even custom fit them to your neck. His is the small shop on you left walking up towards the geyser viewing area.

“Living Culture”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 July 2014

It was really good to actually see this enclave is occupied as a normal living area. One can see people doing their daily business. Our guide was great, admission included a guided walk, a Maori Show. There was a café there as well and many gift shops!

“Glimpse into Maori life”

This was one of the half day tours I experienced while in New Zealand! Our guide was from the Village so it made all the more memorable from cooking/food preparation to finishing with native dance.
