This is a very informative tour that explains the Maori way of life. Our guide explained how the tribe/family has lived for generations on this site. Make sure to be onsite for the cultural show and get the corn

The tour was informative and it was also good to have some free time afterwards to wander around and have another look in our own time. We watched the show, did some shopping in the tourist shops and also tried the corn. The corn was amazing! This is one of the better valued tours and I would highly recommend it.

We were taken round by "Chief" - not possible to spell his full name. A really nice sense of humour but really informative about the Maori culture too. The best corn you will taste and a really nice show. Be aware that there are only 2 shows per day at 11.15 and 14.00 so time it to see these. Very good value for money.

Really enjoyed this tour and was amazed how they used the thermal springs for cooking and bathing and the traditions off the Maori people. You also get to see the Prince of Wales Feathers Geyser which is on a more expensive tour

This was our second visit and I highly recommend experiencing the entire package. The cultural performance was quite excellent and never felt less than authentic. Order the meat pie meal -- cooked the same way as the Hangi meal but less food. I still could barely finish it all. Simply cooked and simply delicious! For those of you who like geysers, this is the place. They have two and I have never visited when they did not erupt almost constantly. The guided tour is an excellent history lesson in the Maori culture.
