It was good, interesting and something you would only do once, with all the other activity thermal related this one is a little different.

“Stunning!”
Reviewed 25 June 2014 via mobile

Absolutely worth a visit! Much to see, easy accessible paths, variety of colours to observe.
Probably the orange and crazy green lakes are the most surprising but the rest of the park has also a lot to offer so don't give up only after first walk.

This place is good but not as good as it is shown in pics. Takes around 3 hours walk.
Lady fox Geyser is good but not 100% natural.

“One of Nz's best thermal parks”
Reviewed 23 June 2014

We go regularly with relatives visiting from over seas, and it is always a stunning park to visit.
The paths are well laid out and good for all age groups.
It's quite a long walk around but at every turn there is something completely different to look at so you definitely wont get bored!
Bubbling mud, coloured pools of sulfurous water and amazing rock formations and NZ fauna - a must for any visitor.

“Make this your first port of call in the area”
Reviewed 21 June 2014

Any visit to Rotorua is worth a quick jaunt here. The best time to arrive is prior to 1000, after which the site's geyser is induced into prouducing a fantastic show of strength. After this, you're free to wander around the bulk of the geothermal park. Photo opportunities abound from the get go. You'll be treated to sulphur filled caverns, bubbling pools of mud and sulphur filled lakes. A definite highlight is found in the middle of the site, in the form of a fantastically colourful 60 m deep hot spring, the Champagne Pool. The sulphide minerals deposited around the edge of this spring are incredible. Walking towards the other end of the park from here, you can follow, downhill, a shallow stream bed of dazzlingly white precipitated silica. The rest of the park, though slightly less striking, never fails to impress. Please, don't miss this!
