“Great experience”
Reviewed 11 July 2014

Price was a little more than I expected but it is a tourist park. Unless you have lived under a rock out have never used the internet before would know that Rotoua has a very strong sulphur smell. Yes it can be worse in some places around the park but it they are called sulphur springs for a reason. If you don't like the sulphur smell then I would suggest you don't visit Roto at all. The park has heaps of places to take pics at and don't forget to go up the road a little more to the free mud pools as this is cool.

“Great Education for a Brit.”
Reviewed 10 July 2014

For those of us from places where we don't have examples of current geothermal activity this is a real education of what it is all about. Most types of activity shown with well laid out paths with good signage and interpretation panels.
Much more concentrated examples than to be seen in Iceland and here it is amongst beautiful sub-tropical forest rather than bare volcanic scenery. I must go back to see more despite the fact that it is 24 tedious flying hours away.
