We stayed at this motel for 3 nights. Right from entering the office we were made to feel welcome. Phil and Bev were most helpful in suggesting and booking things we wanted to do in Rotorua. We had booked a studio unit but they upgraded us to a 2 bedroom unit for the 3 nights we were there. The rooms are spacious, very clean and had everything we needed. Would stay here again and have recommended to other people going to Rotorua

We needed a 2 bedroom unit in Rotorua, and Brylin had a vacancy, now we no why! The rooms were very small, the kitchen table was unusable, as soon as you sat at it, you blocked anyone else from getting past you. The beds were terribly uncomfortable, extremely hard surface, and the noise of anyone creeping around upstairs (or next unit), sounded like a bunch of women in stilettos stomping on a wooden floor. Also we stayed 2 nights at full price, but on the second night we had no clean linen or towels, no top ups for toiletries or tea/coffee etc.
I would expect a reduced rate for reduced services. Overall the motel was clean, but definitely dated. Stay somewhere else, we were too embarrassed to ask our friends back for drinks!

We are sure you would have been shown the unit for aproval, so must have been happy with the layout and size at the time of paying. All units are serviced daily between 10am and 12pm. This includes clean towels and 'top ups'. The only time a unit is not serviced is when guests are still occupying it beyond 12pm. We then rely on the guests to inform us if they require any services later on. It's a pity that you didn't bring your 'problems' to our attention at the time of your visit to enable us to sort things out for you. It is important to us that all of our guests are happpy and receive the best of service, but we cannot help when guests don't notify us at the time. Commenting a Month after a visit does not help us to help you.

Greeted by most friendly staff. Immediately offered to help us with our plans around town. Told us to come back to ask for info whenever suited us. Showed us to our roomy double story place. Bathroom and twin beds downstairs (twin beds in room), double bed in the room upstairs along with kitchen, fridge, 2 lounge chairs, large flat screen TV, dining table, microwave, stove top and heaps of kitchen cooking pots/pans and utensils.

They showed us all the great things to do around Rotorua and showed us the best deals.

Great value (i'm usually a backpacker and still think this was great value), great location (close to the main part of town) and even better, friendly and helpful staff!

Room Tip: The two bedroom place is more than enough room for 4 people. A good way to save money to split this...

Spacious, clean and cosy. We stayed in two bedroom split unit which was very comfortable. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. Will definitely return back in our next Rotorua visit.

I really love this place. This is the second time I have stayed here but the first time with the new owners. The new owners were amazingly friendly, nothing was too much trouble. They are more than happy to sit you down and give you ideas of things to do while in Rotorua, and throw in as many discount vouchers for attractions they could find.
We stayed in room 2 which is at main street level. You would think the noise from the cars would be annoying but you could barely hear them as the room seemed to harbor some great noise block out techniques. The room itself was HUGE. It contained a three seater couch, a queen bed, side tables, a desk and chair, 42inch TV. cupboard with ironing board, hair dryer, clothes hangers (everything you could need), dining table in the corner and a full kitchen (minus oven.) The shower was a tad small, but across from it was a nice big spa bath to make up for it. The room was always clean and tidy, and on multiple occasions we would come back from our morning outing to find our dishes had been done for us!!! Just another example of how lovely the new owners are.
Location wise it is about a 2 minute drive to the main shopping/restaurant strip (and may I say I LOVE NZ food...everything tastes amazing.) We never had a problem with the location of this motel to attractions, food, entertainment etc. Loved the free wifi!
Brylin is my first stop when looking at accommodation in Rotorua, and I haven't been disappointed yet. Thanks to you both for a relaxing Easter weekend!!!

We came over touring New Zealand (Feb 2012) as two couples and wanted a reasonable rate and two room suite setup to visit the area. This motel worked perfectly for us; it had a living room (where we watched the New Zealand / World Rugby "7's" Championship), a nice kitchen, and bedrooms on different floors. The owners Phill and Bev were excellent and very helpful.... they even provided ice (I found a rarity in NZ) for my evening G&T. Not super close to town, but you can walk and grocery stores etc are nearby.

Modern, clean, spacious...plus great hosts. Bev and Phil will show you what is on offer and tell you the price and let you decide for yourself. Compare with other hotels and, like us, you will probably come back to Brylin.
The studio apartment is great for one night or three...comfy bed, great TV (although NZ TV leaves a lot to be desired). Good kitchen if you want to eat in and exceptional knowledge of where to play and eat in Rotorua if you don't.
Only drawback is the tiny basin in the large bathroom but the spa makes up for it.
