“Take the drive here - park and walk”
Reviewed 14 May 2014

The government gardens are beautifully maintained and in the middle of a thermal area. So as well as the grounds there are some spots to visit where you can see the water and mud bubble away. We visited in the autumn and the trees were giving a spectacular view of colour. There are ample spots to stop park and walk or just take a photo.

All are within easy distance from the town centre.

“Government Gardens walk”
Reviewed 12 May 2014

Was okay but just a few walking trails at side of area with of course the lovely Museum building and the Blue baths building as well, not enough to hold our interest so we just passed through.

Worth going just to see the buildings . We had a wine sitting outside looking over the gardens which was lovely.
