“Beautiful”

Beautiful carvings within the church. Right on the water. Cemetery & Maori meeting house across the parking lot. Small but nice souvenir shop there also.

“church area”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 November 2013

The whole compound which includes the church is a lovely place to visit. The shop is interesting and well priced with friendly service and the whole place feels very welcoming. The church is beautiful and at peace, and the steam escaping from the ground everywhere just adds an extra atmosphere. Would be a lovely spot for a picnic, we and our young and teenage children all enjoyed the experience.

“Best kept secret?”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 November 2013

Many area locals don't seem to know of this lovely little church building right on the shore of lake Rotorua. It is a place of Worship decorated with Maori carvings, tukutuku panels and stained glass windows on the inside, even though the outside looks very English. The window depicting Christ as a Maori chief walking on the waters of the lake outside is very special. I have been many times and always enjoy its peaceful beauty.

“A most beautiful, sacred place”

The interior of St Faith's is beautifully decorated according to Maori culture and the Christ window is famously a must see.

“Well looked after old church, scenic site”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 November 2013

I hadn't been to see St Faiths for many years, but recently have biked past here several times. Still a well presented area. Lovely outlook over the lake. And nice to see it being well looked after.
