Beautiful church, lovely scenery and wonderful Maori carvings. Perfect place to spend an afternoon, just a shame you couldn't take pictures.

“One of my fave's”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 April 2014

We have been to Rotorua many times and always visit St Faiths and all of the surrounding area. It is so tranquil and beautiful. Depending on the weather, the area can look different...mystical, spooky, beautiful etc as the wind blows the thermal steam over the homes, water casting shadows, which create different photo opportunities at different times. Have a walk around the Maori village and homes around the Ohinemutu area...fascinating. The church welcomes visitors and the lovely service is conducted in both English & Maori...a nice experience. Remember that this is a sacred place and photographs are not allowed inside the church.

“Do go”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 April 2014

This is such a beautifully peaceful place and so glad we went to visit. Got chatting with a lovely man who was gardening and he told us why the graves are built the way they are, about the church and the window. Not a place to "wow" on the tourist tour but certainly a place of history that is worth a visit

“Pretty Church”

Make sure that you visit this pretty little church. You may also see some steam vents in the sidewalks in front of the church.

“St faith,s”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 March 2014

Disappointed to find it closed 1st time I walked round the lake before 5pm
No signs to indicate open hours- beautiful meeting house, cemetery with angel figures on tombs, geothermal activity.
Came back next. Day before 4pm and doors were open.
Able to take photos of the window depicting Jesus walking on the lake! And Maori decorations, stained glass windows.
