We really enjoyed the location of this hotel—very easy to walk to the waterfront, restaurant and public transit. Our room was quite large and clean, and the staff was friendly and helped us find a place to eat.

Room Tip: Ask for a lake facing room!

Hotel is 3 Star Hotel that delivers really well for that price range with a restaurant and bar in the lobby area where you are able to purchase a buffet breakfast in the morning for around $20 which represents excellent value. The staff are really friendly and helpful, even a little funny when they joked around with us making us feel quite at home and welcome. We felt this hotel represented excellent value for money with reasonable sized rooms that were very clean and comfortable. Located adjacent to the central area of town and just a stones throw from the lake and within walking distance to a number of attractions including the lake, museum, spas, parks and shopping it was a great choice and stay. Would recommend this one for value and comfort.

Room Tip: We had a room that faced the city area but you could probably request a room facing the lake if you...

The location was great as it's just a 12 mins walking distance to the best fish and chip in town! It's also a 5 mins to eateries and tourist information. The lake is just few steps away. I wish they have free wifi in the room.

Reasonably well located near the lake and town. Rooms small, but ok. TV really quite a poor picture. Internet, come on guys, what is it with NZ and wireless? Overpriced in room cable options, no free WiFi in room. NZ needs to get with the rest of the world.

LOCATION: Within walking distance from the government gardens, Polynesian spa, restaurants and cafes.

CLEANLINESS:
Suitable

STYLE:
Contemporary façade, compact

STAFF:
Friendly

COMMENTS:
Typical budget establishment without much in the way of extra comfort. Rooms are compact and may be difficult to maneuver in if encumbered by excessive luggage. Wifi is only offered in the lobby with 30 minutes of free usage, which is less than many other places offer.

Room Tip: Rooms on the higher floors are less noisy as there tends to be bus/ tour traffic.
