Stayed here for two days with my wife. Though the rooms were a little bit small, we were still satisfied. The prices for the WiFi were a bit expensive and a bit slow though. The staffs were excellent and friendly. It was also easy to go to the town as the hotel was very near. As the hotel was very near to Lake Rotorua, we had a very beautiful view during sunset and we would love to come back here again someday. A recommended place to stay during holidays.

One of our best stays while travelling in New Zealand. I was travelling with my parents and family friends. The views from the hotel were great, we had rooms facing Lake Rotorua. The very next day our car had a punctured Tyre and we were very well guided and helped by the staff at the reception. Our shows at the Agrodome and the kiwi bird park were adjusted and help received by the staff was truely appreciated. We had this very cute, Nepalese gentleman who helped us through all this. I forget his name unfortunately. Also we were vegetarians, and hence the chef on the next day knowing we are Indians looked up for a recipe on net and prepared Upma, a sort of Indian porridge. I will surely recommend this place for any body staying in Rotorua.

Room Tip: Lake facing rooms have spectacular views.

Two work colleagues stayed at Ibis. I had rang them to check that there were 2 beds in the room. Got there and 1. Was quickly sorted when I spoke to them about this. Otherwise the Ibis was quite fine in regards to our needs and short stay there.

Having read the reviews about lake view rooms we can now see why?! We had the best room, 371 I think, at the end of the corridor and facing over the lake. It was spectacular morning and evening, the autumn colours were stunning, and made our three night stay very pleasant.

A good sized room, larger than other iBis rooms elsewhere.

Tidy and well presented, and location is superb with new undercover dining strip only a block away.

The restaurant we didn't dine in but I hear they did have special pasta dishes the night before for those in the marathon, something to remember.

Room Tip: Many rooms are on the lake side, but only a few face the lake...

The hotel room was average, but the beds were super comfortable. The staff were friendly and very helpful, they had advice on were to go . It is great value for money, The food was quite yummy and even better than some of the local restaurants. It is very close to town. Overall me and my partner had a great stay here. and will be back.

Room Tip: Next time i would choose room facing lake, as were facing carpark.

Stayed for 2 nights for the Rotorua Marathon, accommodation was limited and was markedly cheaper than the Novotel next door which we have stayed at previously.

Understandably cheaper brand in the Accor hotels but absolutely reasonable for what we wanted.

Small clean room, basic amenities, helpful staff, great location, could use Novotel restaurant etc. small amount of on site parking, but plenty on road outside.

Would happily use again, good value and good location.

Dear TLCAUCKLAND

Thank you for reviewing you stay with us at the Ibis Rotorua, your positive comments are greatly appreciated. You are absolutely correct regarding the pricing, we are fortunate to be able to leverage two different pricing models while still be able to offer the superlative service, another great feature is the ability to utilize the Novotel facilities and to be able to charge it back to your Ibis room.

Hope you had a great run and look forward to having you back with us in the near future.

We really enjoyed the location of this hotel—very easy to walk to the waterfront, restaurant and public transit. Our room was quite large and clean, and the staff was friendly and helped us find a place to eat.

Room Tip: Ask for a lake facing room!
