This place was a great find! Apparently it's only known by locals and Trip Advisor users - our host was surprised that we'd heard of it! The food is very reasonably priced and delicious. We came twice and had the Lambie sandwich, the Chickie sandwich, and the soup of the day, as well as coffees and sweets. I would highly recommend everything (although my soup was goulash and was quite salty). Hidden away in the industrial estate, it's cosy and has a very relaxed atmosphere. You should absolutely visit for lunch but make sure to take a treat home with you for later!

I had the apricot danish with my coffee. Both were delicious. The cafe has free wifi (or newspapers) and its a great place to relax, or catch up with friends. Great ambience, with friendly service.

I walked from my accommodation in central Rotarua (about 30 minutes walk, on a pleasant sunny day).

Stopped in for lunch and had the soup special (pumpkin) which came with delicious fresh bread and was only $6.50. Great price and really great tasting food. Everything else looked yum as well, nothing better than fresh bakery goods!

I love places like this where they just do a handful of things really well rather than trying to have a ton of mediocre choices. They make sandwiches, coffees and pastries (and soup in winter) .. And they are all delicious! Very welcoming and friendly service. Food here is made quickly and fresh. Great atmosphere with jazz music at a volume that still allows for conversation and they also have a dog friendly area. Love it!!

We were there pretty late and it was near their closing time, staff are friendly and explained their bread and soup to us in detail, who let us know what is inside and how the taste goes well with soup. Later I found out theres a regular jazz band performance every week but sadly we would be out of the area, it would be a good afternoon to spend your time in such a lovely cafe with live music, , coffee, sourdough and pastry.
