This hotel met all the criteria down to the smallest details! We showed up from the airport a bit concerned as a result of a forgotten pick-up but we were quickly pampered into a most wonderful experience that ranked among the top in our Australia-New Zealand 4 week trip where we had booked first class accommodations! Darren quickly greeted us at the front desk and made us feel like we were important to them and quickly engaged us in humor, prompt service and a most helpful demeanor. They continued to do all the right things throughout our stay. Darren and his team quickly oriented us to determine our best options for a wonderful afternoon at the Polynesian Spa. We were checked in to one of the newly renovated rooms which was modern, spotless, romantic and exciting! The lobby was inviting and we were encouraged to sit and enjoy while they took care of all the small details such as coordinating tours, drinks and adding a wonderful sense of humor. This is a small hotel with a big hotel punch like a South Beach (Miami) oasis in the middle of a wonderful tourist destination. If this team focused on the 99%, they would be a great hotel but the small details, the 1% that they focus on makes this a world class destination....bar none! Enjoy!

We booked this at last minute and rank this the big find of the holiday- Great staff- lots of fun, immaculately clean- BEST EGGS BENEDICT - and altogether soo good we came back for another night on the return journey.
Its very well located and even has a mineral hot tub of its own- the rooms are very generously proportioned completely clean and well equipped.
All the staff we met had the same positive and cheerful demeanour which really makes a difference and speaks volumes for the hotels owners and standards
This is Boutique hotel at its boutique best
Highly recommended

Room Tip: We had a suite on the way there adn a room on the way back- both were fantastic

What a find (thank you, again, T/A), this hotel is indeed boutique & delightful, stylish, slightly quirky (in a very good way) & with outstanding service. The rooms are elegant & fun, bold & cheeky, with everything you might need (including free & unlimited wifi, hurrah). The pool area is charming, towels provided (in signature colours of course) & iced water drinks offered. Darryn & Brent were great managers, fabulously helpful & utterly charming. All the other staff we met were equally obliging & courteous. Location is great - we walked to Rotorua Museum & also to dinner at Bistro 1284. The Regent Breakfast was freshly cooked, tasty & plentiful

We stayed here as part of an upscale, small-group tour of both Islands. As was most, this was a smallish, boutique-like, service-oriented hotel. But it was probably the best of the ten that we stayed at. The rooms and public spaces were beautifully and modernly decorated, and the staff and management were amazingly friendly and helpful. It is conveniently located, and is no more than a 10-15 minute walk to everything. There are lots of restaurants nearby, and the hotel restaurant was quite good for both dinner and breakfast -- probably the best in town. We would look forward to staying here, should we come this way again.

Wow not only does the hotel have well kept and beautifully presented accommodation and restaurant but service to match...from the minute we walked into reception to the moment we walked out the service rated second to none...they have it nailed.
We took our Canadian friends to Rotorua for the night for sightseeing and thise hotel sold them on service and how to treat visitors.
We popped champagne on our room patio only to have one of the restaurant staff rush out on hearing this with an icebucket so we could keep it cool...how is that!
Lovely restaurant , stunning decor and in the heart of Rotorua adjacent to Eat Street.
In summary fabulous, would we return ..hell yes!

Room Tip: Great disabled rooms although we had a studio overlooking pool area which was private and quiet!

Even my husband was taken with our black, white and lime green room. Darryn and Brent made us so welcome and were a mine of helpful information. Bed was most comfortable. Enjoyed relaxing in sun for an hour by the pool. Excellent dinner at restaurant, again with very good service.

The reception and Concierge are amazing, they are professional and friendly, tell us everything about Rotorua and help us with the trip to Matamata. Great Location, has a lot of restaurant nearby, and you can walk to the park and shopping centre.
