This is a magnificent hotel that is recommended without reservation or qualification. The staff, the accommodation, the location, the restaurant - all absolutely first rate. Nicely different without being quirky and with outstanding attention to detail, in service as well as decor

Lovely room with A/C that actually works! Personal service by owners and wonderful staff. Great breakfast too. Can dine outside overlooking the beautiful pool. Great location -- short walking distance to Eat Street, which is the hub of town.

This small hotel is a gem and our stay there made our Rotorua stay most enjoyable. A spacious and comfortable room, king sized bed, great A/C, and personable owners who are present and helpful. Darren was a pleasure. We ate great dinners there twice and enjoyed the breakfasts also. This place stands out as special during our three week trip to Australia and New Zealand.

Room Tip: Ask for a King bed

This boutique hotel is in a good location. The management and staff are friendly and accommodating. The rooms are comfortable. The dining service is great. This is a fun little place to stay at. Lots of attention has been paid to details.

We stayed two night at the small but wonderful hotel. The rooms were simple but tastefully elegant down to the last detail. All staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Food was surprisingly delicious, esp. for a small hotel. Located quite close to shopping and conveniences of Rotorua. It was a welcome stay from all the 5 star, large hotel chains we stayed in during our two weeks in New Zealand and Australia. Would rate this 6 stars!

Room Tip: Call them and ask. They have a variety of rooms from which to choose.

We were originally only staying for one night as we had travel plans, we ended up staying for two night, this was by far the best place we stayed in while travelling in NZ, the service was second to none, Darren was a gem and a mind of information, so friendly and attentive to all your needs, decor was gorgeous, nice greens, attention to detail in every aspect of the rooms and outer areas. Restaurant food was delicious although portion size for me was to large (personal choice), the swimming pool area was lovely and well cared for, could not rate this place highly enough. My only regret is i forgot to buy the wee teddy on the bed! So if you are going to Rotorua this place is a must to stay and not expensive. Wish i could go back, but it's a long way from Scotland. Cheers Darren you're the best! :-)

Room Tip: I don't imagine there would be a bad room! Excellent place! :-)

The hotel is lovely, just beautiful in every small detail. The wifi is secured, fast and free. The food is very good. Bed is comfortable. Shower works well - you know, all those things you care about. The location is great, walk to lots of food and fun. I would rate this hotel very highly on all of these details. But it would still be at the top of my list even if most of these things weren't true, just because of the staff. Everyone is friendly, efficient and helpful. Darren is an absolute gem. A fireball of energy that gets to know you right away, goes way above and beyond to make sure that you are comfortable and having a great time - if he doesn't know an answer he picks up the phone and gets it. Makes your arrangements, pays attention to your logistics, just makes it happen, makes it all work. . I watched him remember the details of guest after guest where they were from, where they were going or had been that day. He is "that concierge" - the one you wish you could always have. He makes an amazing difference in your holiday - we are very grateful and there isn't a recommendation high enough for this hotel and his skill. I'm sure there are other lovely hotels around here, and I'm sure they have helpful kind staff that want to help. But I can't imagine there being another like this place and their staff. This is where you want to be.
