“Great view, disappointing restaurant”
Reviewed 9 October 2013

The view from the restaurant is amazing. However, inside is so dark and feels really dingy. The tables had black table clothes which made it feel even darker, and they had not been cleaned down from the previous guests. Would not return here and am super glad I did not book dinner here

“Great Lunch”
Reviewed 6 August 2013

Four of us visited for lunch and could not have been more impressed. The service from the waiter was friendly and attentive and the views here during the day were outstanding. The decor is dated but somehow seems to work. The seafood chowder was one of the best we had ever tasted. The steak, salmon fillet and salmon salad were all excellent and very good value. The chocolate fondant was presented beautifully and was stunning to eat.. This place only has a limited menu for lunch but it is all done with panache.

“Beautiful Dining Experience”
Reviewed 29 July 2013

Excellent service, great food, and stunning views of Rotorua. Thank you so much for this experience our family loved it. Just thought I might add that there was a comment on here that almost dissuaded me from dining here. It was mentioned they were unable to be seated at the tables when they ordered a coffee and scone, the coffee area you were seated at still allowed an incredible view of Rotorua and it was not like you were tucked away as you were seated in a centred and open plan restaurant but up on a higher level. It made perfect sense for you to be seated there rather than at the tables as whether they are busy or not there is a service and potential opportunity cost involved with allowing you to dine at the tables close to the windows. Would highly recommend ordering the Beef with black truffle cream sauce, simply delicious, thank you once again
