A long deep lake with excellent access for boats, swimming and its own hot pools which are lovely to sit and relax in. I fish for trout as often as possible and take the kids when ever they are keen.

We stayed in a batch for five days by the lake. Slipway for the jet ski, great for kayaking, canoeing, and fishing for trout.. Lovely views of the mountains. Only fifteen minutes into Rotorua, near the thermal parks, but no smells!

Always like to drive around Lake Rotoiti and spend time sitting in the sunshine at the lake edge. We had a picnic lunch, gazed at the lake and read our books and then it was time to leave.
