“Brilliant evening”
Reviewed 14 December 2013

Our hotel recommended this evening in preference to the others available and we were not disappointed. Transport included from the hotel. When everyone was seated in the large hall the host welcomed us all asking which countries we were from. Amazingly he could speak - even if only a few words - in every single language and there were about 20 different countries represented. Very entertaining. We then saw how our food was being cooked in their traditional way followed by watching the Maori arriving in their impressive canoe which was a brilliant sight. Then a ceremony explaining traditions, history, tattoos etc, followed by the meal which was very good. Although the queues were long the dishes were replenished frequently so no one missed out. To end the evening we were taken by torchlight to their crystal clear sacred pool, where we saw glow worms. A magical evening, and highly recommended.

“Memorable night”
Reviewed 13 December 2013

The night was great. We had an introduction to all the different nationalities visiting, then went to the creek where the Maoris came up in their canoe. We then watched their show which helped us understand more about their culture. THis was finished by a lovely dinner cooked in their traditional way.

“Great evening experiencing Maori Culture”
Reviewed 11 December 2013 via mobile

This is well worth it. The entertainment, food and cultural tutorials are all great. There was more than enough food and 5star. The whole experience is designed around tradition. We also did the rainbow springs tour and saw the glow worms and kiwis. The sacred spring was magical. Take warm clothes for the evening walk.

“Very nice experience”
Reviewed 10 December 2013

After a formal and sacred ceremony of welcome and a performance you will be proceed to have a dinner. During the the welcoming ceremony explanation about the Maori tradition, tatoos and history will be provided. Performance consists of music and typical dances. Well organized and tourist minded. Good place to spend the evening.

“Brilliant evening”
Reviewed 10 December 2013

This is a very fun evening out. You learn about some Maori traditions, watch a show performed by young Maori people, and eat a good hangi dinner. The food was good, performance both entertaining and informative, lovely walks and the MC is entertaining and interactive. Worth the money.
