We stayed here in 2001 (this website won't allow me to post this any earlier than Feb 12) and regularly recommend it to friends travelling to New Zealand. Robert and Wendy were the most charming of hosts and we left after only one night feeling we'd spent time with old friends.
We'd not stayed in any B&B's before but wanted to branch out from the anonymity of staying in hotels with international staff and decor that made you feel you could be anywhere in the world. When we arrived we weren't sure we were in the right place but as soon as Robert opened the front door and we saw the vast sweep of the lake through the panoramic windows behind him we knew we'd found somewhere really special.
