Description: Volcanoview Restaurant established 26 January 2011. Friendly priced family restaurant with table service. No need to order at the bar, we come to you. Our food is healthy. Most of the dishes are gluten free, we grow our own lettuce, vegetables, capsicums, bake our own cakes, buns, bread, make our own beef/fish/veggie burger patties and all our sauces. So we know that what we serve is good healthy food. Further we cater for weddings, parties, work do's, functions, funerals, you name it. Average cost for a dinner buffet is $ 37,50 per head. Everyone can use the free pedal carts.Three flying foxes are all located on a private property. If you stick to the rules, nothing is likely to happen. Apart from the restaurant we offer camp ground, cabin and B&B facilities. All reasonable priced and the awesome views of Mt Taranaki are totally free of charge. Hope to see you soon.

We visited this restaurant on a rainy Sunday (there was no volcano view!)

The restaurant is excellent for children - nice and relaxed atmosphere. The adult food was excellent; however the kids food was slightly bland - this could have been our food choice of nuggets and chips. So we will definately go back and try something different for the kids.

Came here on a beautiful Friday night. Mount Taranaki was out and the huge picture window at one end of the restaurant framed the mountain perfectly, along with the cows in the next door field.
My wife and I had a very pleasant meal here. The value is excellent (2 mains, 2 desserts, and 2 alcoholic drinks came to $88). Fresh ingredients are clearly used and the portion size is good to large. Service is excellent and it is great to see they promote using young staff. You will get very good and tasty home-cooked-style food... and that is probably the one slightly negative comment I would make. You will not get fancy presentation, chef's flair, or other touches you would get in a restaurant. This is uncomplicated food using fresh ingredients cooked very well. If you are happy with that, then you will not be disappointed.
Enjoy!!

Went to lunch in a large group of club members. Ideal venue, no intrusive music, plenty of space, great selection of food and good loos!

Impressed with their efficiency with the orders. All our mains arrived in quick succession. There was no messing about with the bills at the end either. I had a really good steak, cooked exactly as I requested. The chips were standard offering but perfectly OK. The portions were generous. Good value for money.

Even though this is a large building and the weather was not Taranaki's best it was warm with a friendly ambience.

Well worth the trip out from local towns.

We were married at VolcaNoview last week and ever since have been raving about the service Joep, Anemoon and their staff provided us.
Although Mt Taranaki didnt want to show its face, the setting and venue (inside and outside) looked stunning. We held the ceremony outside in front of the fence looking out to the mountain. The greenery looks amazing in the photos. At the end of the ceremony, staff handed out glasses of bubbles for our toast and then we had some photos taken with family and friends outside the restaurant near the beautiful punga. While we headed off for a few more bridal party shots, our guests played on the pedal carts as well as the flying foxes (photos are hilarious). Nibbles and drinks were provided to guests while we were away also.
The buffet was absolutely amazing. We had a real mix of guests with many vegetarians yet some typical meat eaters too. Joep responded to this by providing many amazing vegetarian options (tofu one was beautiful) as well as what I was told was the most amazing hot ham and roast lamb.
Dessert was a sight to behold with mousse, profiteroles, ice cream, brandy snaps, wedding cake etc etc.
The tables were easily moved to allow for the dance floor. This was a laugh!
Joep allowed us to use the bed and breakfast room for the groomsmen to get ready in as well as for our guests with young children.
Our guests have all been raving about VolcaNoview and will all be back again asap.
We had the time of our lives thanks to the hard work of the staff at VolcaNoview. We would highly recommend others to hold large functions here.
Thanks again so much to all your staff!

A rare find and a spectacular location. Lovely Dutch charm and ambiance. Highly recommend the 'Volcanoview Omelettes'. We'll worth the trip.
