We love this wild beach on the fringe of New Plymouth. Kids and dogs love running down the huge sand dune at the New Plymouth end of the beach, and there are stairs to help you get back up if the climb is too daunting. The beach itself is ever-changing as the soft rocky cliffs regularly crumble onto the sand, so best not to climb on them. The beach is not patrolled and the surf is unpredictable, so this is a perfect beach for a walk and to enjoy the fresh air and the stunning views.
