A happy stumble upon really. It didn't look too promising. In a shopping arcade, not exactly shouting about itself: door handle broken, but we were hungry and entered....
Into a little bit of '50's colonial style, complete with roaring fire. I spotted tarakihi fillets with potato and onion rosti, green salad and a lemon and pepper sauce. Darcy spotted chicken nuggets and chips, staple kids fare.
The meal was lovely: fresh, tasty and well presented. All from a four ring gas stove behind the counter which was full of yummy pies, flans and sweet things.
What a treat! And they made Darcy a lovely Sundae for pud.
Its clear the locals use it, good sign. Would recommend, in fact I want to go back for dinner soon.
Good food, good value, great service, good surroundings. Its actually in Bell Block, off the SH3.
