“Don't Look Any Further!”

After searching and searching for places to stay in Taupo we lucked out and chose Kinara!
My husband and I are sure glad we did. Heather and Graeme made our short time together a very memorable one. They went out of their way to accommodate us and make arrangements for the hike we almost didn't get to do! Their home is very beautiful and welcoming. They made us feel at home instantly and appreciated the attention from Jack, Poppy and Belle just as much. We would highly recommend this homestay to anyone and hope to make it back again someday.

This was not our first, nor will it be our last stay at Kinara. Heather and Graeme share their lovely home and garden with guests, making you feel very comfortable and pampering to all your needs. Breakfast is a feast and the rooms are very comfortable, with quality beds with quality linen making all the difference to a good nights sleep.

A friend and I stayed at Kinara Country Homestay for three nights and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our short stay. Right from the start Heather and Graeme were very welcoming. Their friendliness and willingness to make our stay comfortable was overwhelming. Their home is spacious and inquisitively decorated (the kitchen is to die for!!). They are knowledgeable about the local area and willing to share this knowledge in order for you to have a wonderful visit. Great food, most of the fruit and veges are freshly picked from their garden. Lovely peaceful surrounds. A MUST stay if wanting to be pampered and have a relaxing time in the Taupo area. You feel like you are parting from life long friends when you wave goodbye. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: All rooms have a lovely aspect, so you can't go wrong.

My husband and I stayed at Kinara for 2 nights over the long weekend. It is a very quiet and peaceful place surrounded by beautiful country scenery. Our hosts Heather and Graeme were extremely friendly and made us feel very much at home. We were greeted with cake, biscuits, and tea upon arrival. We had our 7 month old baby with us and they were happy to keep him company while we enjoyed their sumptuous breakfasts. They were well equipped to have infants staying over, with a travel cot and high chair and an assortment of toys. We also had free access to their kitchen which helped a great deal with baby's meals. We really enjoyed strolling through their beautifully manicured gardens as well. They also gave excellent recommendations as to places to visit in Taupo and beyond as well as great recommendations for meals. We will definitely stay there again on our next visit to Taupo.

Heather & Graeme are great hosts, they treat you like one of the family. From the time I booked Heather would give me great suggestions about things we could do on our journey down and also when we left, to make the most of our time in NZ. For this alone we were very grateful, but it just showed how much they cared about their guests. Everything was lovely, we were greeted with tea and muffins - delicious especially after a long jouney. Breakfast was wonderful, as was the whole experience. The dogs were great and a joy to watch playing. I would definitely recommend to friends and hopefully we shall be back!!

We stayed at this beautiful Bed & Breakfast accommodation during our recent visit to New Zealand. The accommodation was superb -a lovely comfortable room overlooking a large & well tended garden & the breakfasts were of typical delicious Kiwi standard. Our hosts, Heather & Graeme couldn't do enough for us & when we returned, unexpectedly, for another night's stay it was like being back home with friends of many years standing. This is an ideal place from which to explore the geothermal areas & other attractions around Lake Taupo on which Graeme & Heather will be only too happy to give advice.
This is a fantastic peaceful place, set in the rolling countryside withwonderful views across to the mountains west of Taupo. We would unreservedly recommend this accommodation to anyone seeking that "special" & unforgetable place to stay.

Heather and Graham are delightful hosts, very warm and hospitable and we were made to feel like old friends rather than B & B guests We found their local knowledge and tips very useful. .Kinara is a lovely house with very good facilities and set in a beautiful garden situated about 15 minutes drive from the centre of Taupo. Breakfasts were excellent and we also enjoyed dinner with Heather & Graham on our first evening.
This B & B is highly recommended.
