We spent two days here and it was one of the most relaxing places I have ever stayed at, it made you want to stay longer and just hang out in the house and the patio area. The yard was so beautiful and well maintained. The towels and bed were of the finest quality. Heather makes a great banana bread and breakfast excellent!

It was a very pleasant and comfortable short stay (2 nights) at Kinara for us in September 2012. Hosts Heather and Graeme are very welcoming, friendly and kind. They have a beautiful garden and good-furniture accommodation.

Heather’s delicious breakfast brighten up our each day in Taupo. If felt so special, warm and romantic - sitting at the breakfast table, viewing their gorgeous garden through the big glass window, listening to Heather's sweet stories. Thank you so much for making our stay felt at home. no stay at Taupo but only Kinara!

We stayed at Kinara in February 2012 and we absolutely loved it. Graeme and Heather are very welcoming hosts and they have a beautiful home. The property is so handy for all the attractions in Taupo and also Rotorua as some of them are half way between the towns. We found it so much better to stay in Taupo at Kinara than in Rotorua. Very clean, comfortable, accommodation, lovely setting, very welcoming and friendly hosts, very knowledgeable too! Great tips for what to visit in the nearby areas. Thank you Graeme and Heather.

After searching and searching for places to stay in Taupo we lucked out and chose Kinara!
My husband and I are sure glad we did. Heather and Graeme made our short time together a very memorable one. They went out of their way to accommodate us and make arrangements for the hike we almost didn't get to do! Their home is very beautiful and welcoming. They made us feel at home instantly and appreciated the attention from Jack, Poppy and Belle just as much. We would highly recommend this homestay to anyone and hope to make it back again someday.

This was not our first, nor will it be our last stay at Kinara. Heather and Graeme share their lovely home and garden with guests, making you feel very comfortable and pampering to all your needs. Breakfast is a feast and the rooms are very comfortable, with quality beds with quality linen making all the difference to a good nights sleep.

A friend and I stayed at Kinara Country Homestay for three nights and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our short stay. Right from the start Heather and Graeme were very welcoming. Their friendliness and willingness to make our stay comfortable was overwhelming. Their home is spacious and inquisitively decorated (the kitchen is to die for!!). They are knowledgeable about the local area and willing to share this knowledge in order for you to have a wonderful visit. Great food, most of the fruit and veges are freshly picked from their garden. Lovely peaceful surrounds. A MUST stay if wanting to be pampered and have a relaxing time in the Taupo area. You feel like you are parting from life long friends when you wave goodbye. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: All rooms have a lovely aspect, so you can't go wrong.

My husband and I stayed at Kinara for 2 nights over the long weekend. It is a very quiet and peaceful place surrounded by beautiful country scenery. Our hosts Heather and Graeme were extremely friendly and made us feel very much at home. We were greeted with cake, biscuits, and tea upon arrival. We had our 7 month old baby with us and they were happy to keep him company while we enjoyed their sumptuous breakfasts. They were well equipped to have infants staying over, with a travel cot and high chair and an assortment of toys. We also had free access to their kitchen which helped a great deal with baby's meals. We really enjoyed strolling through their beautifully manicured gardens as well. They also gave excellent recommendations as to places to visit in Taupo and beyond as well as great recommendations for meals. We will definitely stay there again on our next visit to Taupo.
