Really nice place to stay and would reccommend it to anybody.Jasmine was very friendly at reception. The room was clean, nice decorations with all the facilities needed. The spa bath made us really relax. The bed was better than at home, so we had a good nights sleep.

Would stop here again. Writing this review on the free wifi

Room Tip: Room 30 is close to the stairs so easy access, but close to the road.

We were welcomed happily and quickly shown to our room. It was clean and comfortable but it took over 15 minutes before the heat pump kicked in and began to warm the room. The bed sagged a little so had to prop it up with a towel.

The reviews we read made us choose beech tree. In taupo there are so many morels/hotels to select from so you can and should be discerning. I would agree with other reviews it is nicely appointed. Plenty of towels, coffee tea provisions and cleanly presented. A few comments to the negative. It is very noisy downstairs, the echo of cars etc into the closed door of our studio was really loud. We turned the heat pump off at night as it too was annoyingly loud and whirring. The spa bath is a nice etc but the jets are very pitiful. The large tv is only viewable from the bed and needs adjusting the picture is too wide so the edges drop out of frame. A shame overall that these things let a nice hotel like this down.

Room Tip: Perhaps go upstairs it may be quieter and some rooms have a peek of the lake.

On check in, the front desk lady was extremely helpful in getting us ready to do the Tongariro Alpine Crossing despite us arriving at 10:30 PM. We were able to book and get a shuttle bus pick up infront on the motel the next morning at 6:00 AM. After the Tongariro Alpine Crossing, she recommeded a nice restaurant across the street and gave us a wine coupon too.

It was an amazing stay. A warm Welcome. Rooms were absolutely clean and were warm throughout the night. Worth what you spent. Have traveled many places and this one was the finest what I experienced. Came back today and already made my next plan for Taupo. Across the road was supermarket/ATM (which sells wines). Everything was handy and of walking distance.

Booked $145 room and that was upgraded to $180 with the same price which includes Spa.

    Awesome job guys..Well Done.
