We stayed at Twynham in February and despite the "english" weather had a really great few days. Paul and Eliza ( and Saxon) could not have been more welcoming or helpful. Golf was booked, restaurants recommended ( all very good ), and places to visit -nothing was too much trouble. Home made fresh baking to die for ! We would have stayed longer but had to get to Napier to see Rod Stewart ( who is a personal friend, we understand!!!)

We found our host most welcoming and warm. They gave us a wonderful insight into life in the Taupo region and we have learnt a great deal about the utilisation of the local thermal springs for energy.
We were attracted to Twynham because of the level of service provided and the comfy home with its beautifully decorated interior, using timbers. Also, being dog owners, we were attracted to the fact that our hosts had pets. The German Shepherd, Saxon, being a well-mannered and handsome dog was great company and Bridgit the cat would join us, by the loungeroom fireplace at night.
Our hosts provided a delicious breakfast, including home made scones and jams. We also were offered home-baked treats to enjoy with a cuppa, after a long day's sight-seeing.
After spending nearly two weeks in NZ at B&Bs, what really stood out with our stay at Twynham was the hospitality and easy and friendly conversation that flowed, making us feel most welcome - like staying with close family in a home away from home.

We have now stayed with Paul and Elizabeth 4 times! We absolutely love Kinloch and Twynham is the perfect place to rest and relax. The welcome is always warm, the food delicious and Paul and Elizabeth are a font of local knowledge and can always help you make the most of your stay with them by suggesting wonderful things to do in the area.
They will also arrange it all for you-all you have to do is pitch up and enjoy!

Wonderful host, gorgeous gardens, amazing meals, and a 5 mins. stroll to a pristine lake.
Paul and Elizabeth were very helpful, friendly and ran a very gorgeous property.
The rooms were very clean and had all the necessary creature comforts.
We had Christmas dinner, and Elizabeth's secret salmon recipe was simply divine, the
turkey too was amazing.
If you want a nice comfortable, homely country get away, Twynham at Kinloch would be the place.
We truly enjoyed ourselves and experienced a Christmas like no other, in an idyllc country setting, good food, and wonderful company.
We would definitely visit again.

Not to forget Saxon the multi award winning German Shepherd, his winning looks and amazing temperament is truly a draw.

My husband and I had a great time staying in Twynham at Kinloc. The hosts Paul and Eliza were so warm and friendly that we felt so at home. We spent last Christmas there and they made us a traditional Christmas dinner followed by 4 different types of desserts! They are such wonderful hosts. They made us feel like family. The place was quiet and relaxing. The garden, Paul designed was simply amazing! The house was surrounded by beautiful trees and lovely roses and plants. Saxon, their family pet was a bonus to our stay. We highly recommend this place. By: Dave & Lucy Conway.

We stayed two nights in this lovely house in quiet Kinloch just a short drive from Taupo. Our room was smaller than some we stayed in, but was perfectly adequate. There is an excellent guest lounge.

Elizabeth and Paul are excellent hosts and kept us laughing all the time. Breakfast was wonderful, with fresh home baking.

They have lots of pets, including Saxon the German Shepherd and a couple of goats.

There is a nice restaurant by the lake shore and marina just a short walk away. This is an excellent base for seeing all the attractions around Taupo.
