“Deluxe accomodations, Serenity in a room”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 June 2011

We travelled here on our honeymoon to take advantage of the great hiking trails in the Lake Taupo area. What we found was this lovely and modern appartment rental, just down the road from the main Taupo town area. Great access to trails, restaurants and shopping.
Its a 20 min+ walk to town, but along a really nice path by the lake.
The drive to town is super short if you think you'll be carrying lots of goodies or food.
We ate take out most days because we loved the privacy of bringing our food back into this perfectly furnished room.
The beds were comfortable, our appartment was cleaned daily. The bonus of the private hot tub on our balcony was perfect after our long days hiking in the surrounding trails.
If you travel with more than one couple, this place is also ideal as there a minimum of two bedrooms and two bathrooms to each unit.
We used the property's indoor/underground parking which was included in the rate.
We would go back here in a heartbeat!

The apartment hotel is about 3km from the city centre and no public transport in the city, a car is a must. Our 2BR apartment was well designed, large and with luxurious fittings. The thermal tub in the balcony was well appreciated. Taupo offers range of activities for tourist and probably the best in NZ. Morning walk on the lake was good. I think one must visit Sacred waters and experience the luxury apartment.

Extraordinary!

Look no further than this place.  We stayed here in April 2011 and this stay was probably the best accommodation we have experienced in a long time.  We live overseas and travel very frequently to new Zealand & Australia.  This place tops them all!

Renee, the owner, would have to be the nicest person with her little puppy xxxx who was a joy to our daughter aged 4. From the moment we arrived we felt so welcomed and at home. This accommodation is so lovely & memorable.

This resort was spectacular with lake views & thermal spa that we spent the whole 2 days absorbed in the winter wonderland.

This is the cleanest, most fully equipped, perfectly located place in Taupo.. Your stay is so warmly welcomed by Reneee & her family. Thank you so much for a wonderful memory of taupo & new Zealand ....we will be back.

My 12 and 14 year-old son,my wife and I, a family of 4, stayed overnight here on April 16,2011 The motel was around 15 mins dirve to city center. It located in front of the lake Taupo. If you want to have amazing views of sunrise and sunset, you will never be disappointed to stay here. We were in a " large" family suit on the second floor. It has enough space even for 7-8 visitors. We had large balcony with almost panoramic view for lake taupo. There was a long breakfast table for 6 people at the balcony, where I took a sip of my early morning coffee during watching the ray of the rising sun and absorp the atmophere of tranquillity.
The kitchenette, dining and sitting room were large.modern, and luxury. My wife loves the design of this kitchen. It was fully equipped with oven, microwave, refrigerator, dish washing machines. The sitting room was cozy, with a large TV monitor on the wall. There were two toilets contains within this suit, but they were simple, nothing to mention about.
The garage was on the ground floor. Actually, it's large enough for two cars. The garage door could be controlled by remote controller.
Comparing the price of the family suit in another motels in NZ, we paid double.
But this one is a real family suit. It worths every dollar.
There are two minor pitfalls which I'd like other visitors (as well as hotel's owner) to know. First, The walkway between the elevator and the room has no roof. It's raining when we arrived at the motel. So, we're wet, as well as our luggage.
Two,the garage door remote controller had sensitive button. When I put it in my pant and got into the car. Some hard stuff in my pocket accidentally pressed on the button, then the garrage door moved down. Fortunately, the car hadn't move yet. Put a hard cover on the remote controller may prevent such event.
Third, surprisingly, there was no WIFI here. My Ipad and my son 's ipod couldn't work here.

We booked here based on other rave reviews and looking for a nice place with great views. As a couple, we couldn't justify the cost or size of the lake-front 4br apartments, so went with the 2br Lake View apartment expecting a great, though not as spectacular, view as the lake-front photos on the website. On arrival we found the apartment to be well-appointed, luxurious, spacious and clean, however the view is more 'Roof of the apartments in front, with lake in the background'.

The idea of a hot-tub on the balcony with lake views was the main reason for us to book here, but you can see by the photo it wasn't quite what I had in mind...

I traveled with my partner and dear friend to Taupo Fri March 25 and Sat Mar 26 for a weekend holiday in Taupo. We were greeted by Renee, who was most gracious and friendly and quickly escorted us to our dream room overlooking the lake. The accomodation was outstanding! Smart, modern furnishings with fantastic lake views. The beds were perfect and linens divine. The spa tub most relaxing. We slept like babies in a quiet environment. The weather was not good with rain, rain, rain, but our Sacred Waters apartment would have kept us inside even in fine weather. I took more pictures of the room than I did of Taupo!
Renee and staff were most hospitible. I would recommend this lovely resort to all and will make it a point to get back soon, just to enjoy this fine accomodation. As a busy physician, the was the perfect "chiil-out"!

It was such an amazing treat to stay here. Right from arrival we felt very special being greeted by such friendly and bubbly management (Renee and Liz) who were extremely helpful and very accommodating.

Our penthouse room was immaculate and you couldn't get a better view overlooking Lake Taupo and the snowy mountains (Mt Ruapehu and Ngauruhoe) beyond. Our favorite treat was the large spa sized outdoor bath on the tiled decking overlooking the lake. We took a bath the next day in the rain and it was just magic. We couldn't have felt any more relaxed.

The apartments are perfectly situated close to town and right on the lake front where there is a natural spring.

We couldn't think of any faults... this place is magic and we will definitely be going back.

Very extremely happy guests :D
