Stayed here for a conference over the weekend. Perhaps I should have asked but I really didn't think double beds still exist! Not comfy at all, incredibly small double bed for hubby and I. Overall the place is a bit dated, I believe some rooms have been done up?? Our bathroom incredibly small too and the shower just sprays water everywhere. Our room wasn't serviced one day due to me being a bit sleepy and having the privacy sign on the door. Towels were left hanging in a bag on the door, never have I experienced this!! Best part of this place is the bar and the barman who was on over the weekend. Made brilliant cosmopolitans. With all the choices in Taupo, wouldn't return.

Although we paid more to have a room with the lake view, the view was blocked by trucks in evening.
Room was ok, not the best we had in New Zealand but certianly good for a night stop.
The hotel attached was nice on patio in evening; had the cheese platter and wine and looked out to lake, and that was lovely
Breakfast very expensive but looked pretty good.
they did accomodate however when we jsut wanted coffee and toast.
good loaciton for all attractions. the drive in was lovely as you hugged the lake and we dorve in at sunset, it was really beautiful

Room Tip: woudl still face lake, but maybe be oon upper floor and not ground floor, due to trucks

Stayed here for 3 days last week - went as a group as part of work function.
Room was huge - didn't expect to get a family room with 2 single bed and a queen bed.
Can see view of Lake Taupo from our room - there's a balcony outside the room to enjoy morning coffee. Can't complain!

Not much choices on the breakfast - don't really like the scrambled eggs.. Best part of breakfast was the Croissant.. Fresh from the oven and it's yummy !! Came back for third ! It's a must.

Plenty of parking... The ladies at reception were really nice and helpful. Check in and out process was fast and painless.

Room Tip: Book a room with Lake View!

My Husband and I plus three teenagers stayed at Suncourt on our recent visit to Taupo. We had a three bedroom unit with full kitchen,It was very clean, spacious and close to the lake, shops and restaurants.

Room Tip: Our room was called Garden View, it was quiet.
